Anna's House - Northland Dr — Restaurant in Plainfield Charter Township

I was SO excited to see the old Burger King revamped in to the most adorable Anna's House. It is such a fun and unique space, the truly did a wonderful job renovating it! My kids LOVED the toaster column. Right off the bat, everyone we encountered that worked there was SO friendly! I was complimented by the host and our waitress right away - literally the sweetest people. We arrived at 10AM on a snow day and while it was busy, we got a table right away. This location has lots of seating! Love that they have kids menus for kid's to color on, AND the recycle the crayons - love it! I am always impressed by their menu - unique, creative, and everything sounds delicious! I love to see a big vegan section, as well! One kiddo got french toast and devoured the whole plate. Second kiddo got chicken fingers and fries (yes, for breakfast lol) and the fries were SO good and the chicken fingers were nice big pieces. I got the Hippie Hash, sub guac for sour cream.. SO GOOD. I love a savory breakfast and I'm like kiddo #2 - i could eat dinner for breakfast, so i loved all the veggies and heartiness of this bowl. Our whole experience was great and I can't wait to bring my husband back. So happy to have an Anna's closer...

I came to this location early morning to try it out when it wasn't too busy. I left without even finishing half my plate and am wary about dining at this location a second time. I recommend instead going to the Anna's House on Plainfield Avenue as I had ordered the exact meal there in the past and it came out tasting very good.

The Good: Restaurant was clean, wait staff was very kind and friendly and provided good service.

The Bad: My meal was not cooked to a level I'd consider acceptable to serve to anyone. Bacon was lukewarm, bright pink, and flimsy as a noodle. The pecan and banana french toast I ordered was also not cooked fully as one of the pieces I cut into had looked and tasted doughy, so I stopped eating altogether after that bite. The mascarpone cheese that's supposed to top it off was also not there as what I got was a big ball of butter on top of it instead.

I regret not informing the staff that the food I got was in that bad of shape, but it was honestly in such a poor condition that I didn't have the stomach to send it back to the kitchen and try...

I placed an order for a single omelette.

Despite being such a small order, it was not ready when I arrived at the requested time. I was asked to wait 10-15 minutes - no problem. I waited 20 minutes, a host then told me it would just be a little bit longer. I wait another 20 minutes, and despite watching my exact order be sent out multiple different times to people eating in the restaurant, the host came out again and told me the kitchen is working on a catering order and I will have to wait longer.

I politely refused to wait longer as I had already been sitting in the lobby for 40 minutes and asked for my order to be cancelled and refunded. Both the host and a server confirmed for me it would be done and I would receive my refund.

7 days later and still no refund received. Won’t be eating here again...
