I'm a big fan of Tex-Mex food, and Chuy's is one of my favorite places to go for it. The chicken fajitas are Dawn’s go-to dish, and they're always cooked perfectly. The chicken is marinated in beer to be tender and juicy, and the onions and peppers are sautéed to perfection. It takes two servers to deliver all the accompaniments, which include lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, pico de gallo, freshly made tortillas, rice, and refried beans. The fajitas are large enough to share, and they're a great value for the price.
Chuy's also has a great selection of combination platters, which are perfect for sharing too. The Elvis Presley platter is a personal favorite, and it comes with a special seasoned ground beef enchilada, a chicken enchilada, a cheese enchilada, a crispy taco, and large tostada chips dipped in queso.
The Comida Deluxe is another great option, and it's enough food to feed even the biggest appetite. It comes with cheese enchiladas, chicken flautas, a crispy taco, guacamole, and large tostadas covered in queso.
The service at Chuy's is always friendly and attentive. Lolo, the bartender, does a fantastic job of tending to his many fans in the bar area. He's always quick to mix a mean margarita or pour a cold beer.
Overall, I highly recommend Chuy's to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Tex-Mex meal. The food is always great, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is fun and festive.
I also like that Chuy's offers a variety of salsas to choose from, so you can customize what ever you order to your liking.
Chuy’s has plenty of other fantastic choices for getting your Tex-Mex on. They have hard to find meal platters like chimichangas (CHUYCHANGA), steak burritos, combination taco & enchiladas, and even a chicken flautas platter… kids menu, meal kits, etc.. decisions, decisions…
We love to start with their home-style queso, guacamole, or both, which are made fresh to order and as good as homemade. There is quite a variety of margaritas and beers to sip too, so there’s always...
Read moreLATEST REVIEW. We went to this place 2nd time and now my feelings have changed. The service was superb as usual; all the servers seem to be running with a purpose and are extremely polite. But the food we've received was simply bad. The tacos I got were dry with no sauce, cheaply made - with so little little meat and mostly cheap flavorless chopped Romanian lettuce from the bag. The green sauce my wife got with her dish was a slimy and foamy - pretty repulsive to say the least. She did not eat her plate after trying this weird green foamy soap, I mean sauce. Unfortunately, there is so many other great TexMex places - that I will not be returning here (maybe for the desert). The food really sucked.
FIRST REVIEW: First time ordering TexMex Cuisine and definitely NOT the last one. The place is great - large portions considering lower prices! Chips and salsa are complimentary at the beginning of the service. As a guy I wasn't able to finish my plate (though I still ordered desert) and that says a lot. The place is welcoming and popular (I was placed on a waiting list, but didn't wait more than 10 mins). You know it's a great place when there is a line of locals waiting to be seater! The food was great - the sauces range from mild spicy to strong - everything is awesomely spicy! The waitress was great and polite, explained all about the order and the sauces (as I was clue-less about what to order and the names of the dishes even if there is only 2 pages of the menu). They only have 1 desert - "tres leche" cake, which was moist and really tasty - I have never seen such large desert portions! I had a great time and would...
Read moreHad a party of 11 so called ahead at at 12 to be added to waitlist and make sure they could seat 11. Was told no problem we have you down for the waitlist at 12:45 just let us know when you arrive. Arrived at 12:45 checked in and waited. After about 30 minutes asked where we were at. Hostess said we're just waiting on some big tables to get up it should be any minute. Continued to wait asking about status and told hostess we don't care if we're at one table or two tables just want to be seated. During that time every single party that came in was seated ahead of us and we watched multiple parties eat and leave during this time. Finally at 2:00 asked for a manager because the hostesses seemed to care less and we're just rolling their eyes. The manager apologized and said this is the first I've heard of it. We were seated but then had our checks messed up had to wait for a manger to fix it. We were there from 12:45 to 3:30 to eat lunch. Absolutely crazy amount of time to eat when we got there at 12:45. I can assure you not one table was still there from the time we got there until the time we left. Normally I realize things happen and it's hard to run a restaurant on a busy afternoon. This was not a super busy afternoon and absolutely no reason it took so long to get seated when we could be split. Also, the vents above our tables were covered in mold and it was super dirty. I'm a huge Chuy's fan but this location just...
