Man, what a disappointing experience tonight. The only reason I give the food one star is because the sirloin steak was delicious and cheddar bay biscuits are always good.
But the brussel sprouts were not cooked all the way through, the potatoes felt like it came from a batch that had already been made prior to my arrival and the lobster was slightly undercooked and when I ordered a Moscow mule rather than telling me they were out of ginger beer they brought me a seltzer lime drink with vodka. I sent the drink back and then found out they did not even have the supplies to make me the drink I ordered in the first place.
My overall meal was extremely dissatisfying. My silverware was even dirty. I’ve gone to this location many times and haven’t had this experience before. I brought this to the attention of the manager and she asked me why I had eaten the food and not sent it back.
To begin, I tried to finish the lobster and potato’s but I did not even try to finish the brussel sprouts and that was the dish I was the most excited for. I had spent the whole day at the hospital with my grandpa and had not eaten all day. So, I simply wanted a nice drink and some surf and turf. I did not really get either. I received a meal; it just was not what I wanted from my order. I was just hungry. I didn’t want to wait for something else, for them to fix it, or even go somewhere else I was simply hungry, tired, and grieving.
My husbands lobster baked potato was over cooked and the skin was not edible and the lobster with the lobster fest was not a clean eat. He had pieces of shell with his lobster and actually cut his lip. And an hour after being home he was feeling nauseous like he was going to throw up. Couldn’t get himself out of bed.
The manager took off the brussel sprouts and gave a 10% discount but then proceeded to patronizingly and condescendingly communicate with me about it all with a smile on her face. I told her I appreciated the gesture but my concern was my experience. I walked out of the restaurant with both managers staring my husband and I down as we exited the building. As if we were less than because we were not satisfied and actually spoke up about it. I am so upset with my experience. Both managers were female, one was Caucasian with pink hair and the other an African American woman who was actually really lovely to communicate with and made sure I got a drink I would enjoy. I didn’t understand why she stared us out of the building.
Our Server Spyros was wonderful and kept our table clean and checked in with us about our meal. But this lead manager really solidified how we would rather go to the Frisco location if we are going to continue to eat at Red Lobster. Probably won’t be back for a while to any location.
But I left there hating the meal I had and the service I received from the lead face of the company. Whose job is overseeing the restaurant and its quality control. Which based on my personal experience was poorly done. When I tried to talk about it. I was incredibly respectful. I just wanted it known that it was not a good experience. When a customer complains about their experience it’s not the managers job to judge the customers - at least to the point that they can tell -
You don’t know what it going on in someone’s life or what they are dealing with in the outside world and all I did was complain about the $125 experience we paid for. I didn’t need that today. Just genuinely did not need that. My husband made some extra money today and wanted to take me out to a “treat yo self” night.
I’m just appalled and honestly my feelings are hurt.
P.S spyros did great.
And just for clarification the location I am referring to is the one off the service road of 75 going southbound in Plano just after the spring creek exit and right...
Read moreMy wife and I have been loyal Red Lobster customers for years, but unfortunately, this location has consistently disappointed us to the point that we’ve decided not to return—despite it being the closest one to our home.
Our most recent visit was for a date night last weekend, and from the moment we walked in, the dysfunction was obvious. As soon as my wife sat down, she jumped up because the booth seat was completely wet. When we alerted the host, she casually said it was probably "just water" and handed us a towel to clean it ourselves.
When we were finally seated, the table was dirty, there was food stuck to the wall and sides of the booth, and the floor beneath us was so wet that our shoes were sliding. It didn’t feel clean or welcoming in the slightest.
Our server was polite and clearly doing his best, but he seemed visibly frustrated—understandably so, considering the chaos around him. We saw other tables looking around for their food, and overheard multiple servers apologizing for long delays. One family near us said their kids had fallen asleep waiting. When we asked for water while browsing the drink menu, it was served in plastic cups. The server explained that there were no clean glasses available. We’re talking about a restaurant where entrees cost $45+—plastic cups are not acceptable.
To make matters worse, the complimentary bread never arrived. The server told us that it was so backed up in the kitchen that whenever a basket was ready, servers were grabbing it as fast as they could for their waiting tables.
We ultimately decided to leave and take our business elsewhere, though we still tipped our server because we recognized none of this was his fault. The way this location is run does not reflect the Red Lobster standard we’ve come to expect.
To add to our frustration, my wife had previously tried to give the location another chance via takeout—and it was just as dysfunctional. She couldn’t get simple questions answered over the phone, waited more than 20 minutes at curbside pickup with no assistance, and experienced multiple dropped calls when trying to reach someone. She didn’t want to go inside with the baby so she pulled up at the “rapid” Togo sign and parked. She told the person who took her order she was less than 5 minutes away & would park in takeout. He said ok, but never came and no one picked up the phone. She had to drive all the way back home with no food. We live in Sachse!
It’s really disappointing to see this level of disorganization and lack of basic cleanliness and professionalism/basic courtesy at what should be a dependable dining option. Sadly, we won’t...
Read moreIf I could give a negative rating, I would. This was our favorite restaurant to celebrate any of our precious events. However, we had a bad to go experience last Saturday (4/23/2022) and facing their mistakes, the manager was extremely rude to me.
We ordered curbside pick up of four entrees and a lobster pizza to celebrate my hubby's birthday last Saturday(4/23). When we were back home, we found both orders of ultimate feast were missing with lobster tails and snow crab legs. That means we only got fries, broccoli and shrimps. I called the restaurant immediately and was worried how I would treat my friends who came over for the gathering. I can't believe a restaurant would pack their foods without main course to their customers.
The first man at the restaurant picked up the phone. I described what had happened. He asked me what's the name on the order. I gave him my name and he transferred me to his manager. When the manager was on the phone, I described what had happened again. There was no response and I can hear the restaurant was very loud. So I said again with a higher volume and added more words that it was main courses were missing. That manager then said:" what's your order? "(Not like the first man who asked for my name on my order directly) so I asked: "do you need my name or the order number?" The manager suddenly shouted at me and said: "I need the name of your order! The name of your order! The name of your order!" Louder and louder each time.
I still gave him my name. He asked me to hold. I heard he was then talking to another staff. It seemed that someone gave my food to others. He said to his staff that he got the customer(me) on the phone extremely mad! (Excuse me?) Then he said his sorry to his staff?! Not me?! He then talked to me on the phone that he will give me a refund. He did not even give me an option to cook my food again. I asked and he said rudely:"OR you still want to come over now to pick up your food?" All my celebration mood was ruined so I chose the refund. We four adults shared two entrees and four sides at last. I would definitely not recommend this store and will never...
