When we entered, we were greeted by whom I will assume is the owner, and she is very cordial and offered us a table and gave us a menu to look at! Upon looking around, we agreed, the atmosphere here is wonderful, cheerful and bright, good music Yet not so loud you cannot have a conversation! And so we were asked if we wanted to have some rolls and oil, herbs, and balsamic vinaigrette, and it was served so nicely and the rolls are delicious. And as you eat them, they unroll so you can dip it in the oil and vinegar with herbs, tasty! Nice big fluffy rolls! And then we started our meal with two house, salads, and the house dressing, which we highly recommend is very tasty, it’s a red wine vinaigrette That they must make here because it’s very tasty and as we kept reading the menu and place our orders we had one order of Farfalle ala Limone with capers and lemon zest in lemon, piccata sauce, delicious! I ordered the lasagna, the traditional lasagna, and it was absolutely delicious, they’re definitely not afraid of making lasagna and it was tasty! And as you look around you see this really neat decoration and it’s unusual and curved as a restaurant and not only the wall sculpture when you walk in but all the textures on the walls and everything behind the bar, which is a good size bar, and they have plenty of different wines and lots of seating. That’s very comfortable with a private area upstairs it’s quite intriguing! when you look, you’ll see that there’s this large mural that you can see from practically everywhere in the restaurant! All the food is very good, we both are taking some home, we wanted to leave space for the tiramisu that we heard was really good! It is! It is very good, very much a tiramisu! We both enjoyed eating it and the coffee flavor was very tasty and the presentation is very good for all of the dishes from the bread to the salads to the main course and to the dessert. It’s all very good with fresh ground Parmesan and red pepper plates if you Desire, which we do! But I did eat the lasagna begin with, and the other dish without changing its original flavor because I wanted to see how tasty it is and I was not let down and neither was she! It’s a very good place to come to because the service was really spectacular! Neither of us drink, but we did look over the drink menu, Since we’ve been known to have a drink here and there, it’s a very good drink menu as well. You will not be disappointed. There’s plenty of parking. It seems like everything’s just right for this restaurant! You must come and taste it for yourself you must come in experience for yourself and I’m positive that you’ll have a similar reaction to how nice it is to be here! Bon appétit! I don’t know how to say that in Italian or would! I will add photos as I can because I have numerous ones to even include a very clean restroom lavatory that was exciting to see, and I will figure out how to get the photos on here because it doesn’t have an ad photos section, but you...
Read moreThis afternoon my wife and I tried a new Italian restaurant in West Plano, DeEva Kitchen. We were thoroughly delighted! The ambiance is relaxing and beautiful yet also so elegant. DeEva had the most comfortable seats of any restaurant we have ever visited. Now for the food. My wife started with a side salad that came with a delicious, zesty dressing. Her main entree was chicken piccata. My wife is a chicken piccata devotee and said this one was superb! The tender chicken was complimented by a delicious lemon-butter, caper sauce. The sauce also lay below the penne pasta that was light and flavorful not the heavy, chewy pasta you might find elsewhere. I had the cioppino. I'm a cioppino connoisseur and the one I make is the best, in my humble opinion. Still, the one I had for lunch today was incredibly savory. While I prefer a tomato based sauce, this one was a seafood-infused clearer broth. and boy did they throw on the seafood! They had clams, shrimp, scallops, and mussels--more than you'd find in any cioppino elsewhere in Dallas. The seafood was perfectly cooked, too. My only suggestion to the chef would be less salt in the broth otherwise, what an incredible meal. We arrived early and had no problem getting a seat even on Friday. You can make an Open Table reservation because it can get crowded. There are tables inside both upstairs and down as well as a relaxing and attractive area outside. The outdoors seating would be a wonderful place to dine during those five days a year when the North Texas weather would permit outside dining! There is a beautiful mural or is it a fresco, this is an Italian eatery, just below the ceiling level that is well worth seeing. Lots of angels and horses that would even delight Michelangelo. Eva the owner was charming and welcoming. Plenty of parking outside, too. My wife and I will be back next week to savor some more of their Italian delights....

This was my first time dining here, and I was eager to give it a try since the restaurant has just reopened following renovations. The interior of the restaurant is very well decorated and laid out. (I included 2 photos)
When our drinks were delivered, our waitress brought out complimentary garlic bread with a plate of balsamic & EVOO. The bread was not only pretty in presentation, it tastes great as well. For our entrees, we ordered the “Traditional Lasagna” and “Pesto Genovese & Chicken”. They were both amazing dishes served in generous portions. It was especially nice given the price point.
Our meal concluded with the owner giving us each chilled Lemoncello palate cleanser. The owner and staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning.
Update: We returned to DeEva for dinner and were very pleased. The bread was good last time, but this time it was phenomenal. We ended up ordering the same entrees we had gotten on our previous visit, and they did not disappoint. The food is so good and the portions are huge.
The service on this visit was excellent and the owner allowed us to try their new Chocolate Mousse Cake that they are considering adding to the menu. It was incredible. The mousse to cake ratio was perfect. It was moist, airy, and rich (but not overly so). The dessert had an excellent presentation and again, this was a...
