My daughter & I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon in January that just happened to be a beautiful, sunny day. I've only been to Legacy Hall once before and didn't see this place or I would have tried it sooner because I LOVE lobster. I was drooling over the packs of lobster the young lady showed me when I asked just how much lobster they put on a roll. I'm not a big fan of a lot of bread and don't usually eat my lobster meat that way, so I asked questions. She was totally fine with my questions - showed me the pre-portioned lobster meat in bags, so you get the right amount each time. She also told me they were made fresh, so no tough or soggy bread to worry about. My daughter is on some keto diet, and mentioned she was disappointed not to see salad on the menu. Someone from the back told the young lady they would be happy to make any dish on the menu into a salad for her.
We went out to the courtyard & sat at a table, but I realized they didn't give us a pager or anything so we would know when our order was ready. My daughter went back inside & waited for it. When she brought the trays out, I wasn't disappointed - it was a small roll and it had lots of meat inside! There was a tiny cup of thinly sliced cucumbers in a dab of dressing or mayo. Like I said, I don't usually eat my lobster on a bun, so I ate that separately, lol, not much of it there, anyway. The meat was tender and juicy & so yummy!! The bread was really good, too, although I tore most of it off, lol. Oh, and there was a little cup of drawn butter for the most delish finishing touch. My daughter really enjoyed her salad, and ate almost all of it. We also ordered a lobster mac and cheese to share, but were too full to eat more than a couple of bites. It was good, but I'd rather not eat any lobster out of a plastic container. But, I get it - it's a food court...
Lobster is one of my treats that I don't often get for myself. I prefer it in a 4-star restaurant, but honestly, this place didn't disappoint! And what earned it the 5th star was the wonderful customer service. I definitely noticed it & tipped them, even though I already knew they don't bring our food to us. I will come back because of it. Keep it up - good management = good attitudes. Here's what this casual take-out will cost you: $60.78 (with tax+tip) $24.95 - my lobster roll made the Connecticut way $17.50 - my daughter's salad made the All-in Knot way $8.95 - lobster Mac The smile on my beautiful daughter's face - priceless :) Go check it out and enjoy the professional,...
Read moreI ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered a salmon taco. The salmon taco was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, one of the two pieces of fish was 70% batter and when you broke it open, was almost completely hollow except for about 30% fish inside. It was also hard, cold and not fresh. I brought the fish back and showed to the person at the counter, he apologized and spoke with the cook and that just walked away and said nothing they could do about it. So, I only actually received one piece of fish and one hollow empty shell of Cold hard batter. Not only was I disappointed in the quality of the food and the fact that one of the pieces of battered fish was hollow, but they offered no resolution or attempt to make the situation right. I just moved to the area, love seafood and would have been a regular customer. Very disappointed.
Update: The ownership responded to my review and publicly stated that they offered to reimburse me for my meal and I declined. This is absolutely not true. Their employee apologized and walked away and wouldn't even look at me after that and definitely never offered to reimburse my meal. My wife and I were standing there at the counter and she witnessed the entire thing. For the record, I'm a senior executive with the largest healthcare system in the state. I'm not looking for anything, but I would have appreciated a quality meal, good customer service and definitely some honesty and accountability. This could have been handled so much better at that moment and certainly in their public response. I am not impressed with this organization or how they conduct their business and will not be supporting their business in the future,...
Read moreFirst time ordering from this place, but family raved about it. I wanted to try the lobsta nachos. They ordered garlic lobster fries, tacos, and corn. Lady at the counter got my sister to try the taco Tuesday night special, which consisted of a fried fish taco, shrimp taco, and a salmon taco. The corn was like their version of elote, it was decent. The fried fish taco was extra crispy and the sauce was nice, shrimp was seasoned well, and the salmon was okay. The lobster fries were amazing! Had nice chunks of lobster and smothered in all the ingredients. It was chefs kiss. Although all ingredients were listed on the menu and none would cause alarm for allergic reaction, two family members did break out and have a reaction. Please be mindful and ask what certain seafood blend seasonings they use, that was failure on our part. The Lobsta nachos was presented beautifully, but upon closer inspection at home they did not include an ounce of lobster. They were clearly visible in the lobster fries, but not one piece was included in my $16 nachos. Still ate the whole thing, the clam chowder was nice and had potato chunks, potatoes were nice and crispy even after a 30 minute drive. Ate the whole thing, despite no lobster in my Lobsta nachos. Experience as a whole was decent and slightly expensive, despite the allergic reactions and missing lobster bits....
