Waited for 35 minutes for my food to get out. Mind you there was 6 other people(construction workers) who ordered after me who got their food out faster. Yes some of their food was just pozole and was able to get out faster but they also had tortas just like we did. We had two meals only a torta and un plato. I got up the manager (I’m guessing, because she was arguing with someone who only came in and wanted water) was eating in the kitchen instead of sitting down. The cooks were not busy they were cleaning and chopping cilantro. I would understand if they were understaffed but they had 2 people up front and 3-4 in the back. The cashier who just clocked in helped me out a lot! She JUST GOT IN and I told her my food wasn’t handed to me at all for the past 30 minutes. Literally less than 10 minutes she had it out for me. They didn’t either get the order because the same manager eating had to re print the order. Was talking on the phone in the kitchen and just talking to the cashier. Pretty unprofessional and we were sitting infront of the cash register so honestly no way where you’re just eating in the kitchen area, especially during a pandemic. GO SIT DOWN to eat, or at least be attentive in looking at us with no food Infront of us....
Read morePineapple Tamales!! I went there for the first time 2 days ago. I asked the girl at the cash register if they could do chicken tamales (Only Pork on the big menu board). She assured me they could. I ordered 6 initially but somehow when she rang it up, the total was only $2 less than the cost of a dozen (apprx $14). So I ordered the dozen to go instead. I briefly inspected the food before leaving. It appeared ok. 12 tamales;right???WRONG!!! SIX of them had a huge pineapple chunk inside, no meat, no savory flavoring at all. Tell me why would pineapple be in 6 of the tamales? or better question where did these pineapple come from? I waited inside while food was prepared. If they ran out of chicken, they could have told me if their intentions were honorable. The other 6, I must admit had great flavor but one had straight dark brown hair in it. My hair is wavy light...
Read moreI was born and raised in northern Mexico, and this is authentic Mexican food. Not Tex Mex. Most of their ingredients are brought in from Mexico and that is why it is a whole different (and better) flavor. Excellent food! This is not Fast Food. This is home made stuff, so it takes longer at the drive thru, Worth every minute waiting. Flan is also authentic, not your Tex Mex watered down version. Drinks, like Jamaica and Horchata, are not made from scratch but are powdered drinks. Still taste good, just as good as from scratch. This is my go-to place when I'm missing my hometown flavors. It's the REAL deal and it is Delicious! Highly recommended. Oh - and their Coke is Mexican Coke!! YES! Not the nasty...
