So nice we tried it twice. Visited the Filmore after getting into the area for a business trip. Did not knock anything about Plano or where to go but pictures online gave off a nice vibe. Enjoyed the large bar with plenty of seating and liked the spacious interior. It was pretty slow on a Monday evening but I can tell the spot would be fun for trivia live music and sports which it looked like all were scheduled. I loved that there were folks playing board games in the booths. Overall it gives a lived-in vibe inside and a nice pub feel from the outside. Service from the bartenders was fine, strikes me as a place where being a regular probably makes a difference. I enjoyed a local red ale and a sour both nicely temped from the tap. I also got the curry. Good price for the amount of food I had plenty left for breakfast. It smells amazing coming out to. Just beware it is pretty spicy even if you pick of the fresh jalapenos. The area it's in is very walkable with convenient street parking and several lots nearby. Definitely a good spot to stop in if you are doing a little bar hopping. A few days later I came back in and enjoyed a beer on the very nice patio with excellent table service. Overall I really liked the Fillmore and if I lived in the area I feel like I'd find myself here weekly. As it is, next trip in I'll be stopping by.

Great place to have a few drinks. The bartenders are great and they are friendly. They like to chat and have conversation and have no problem listening to you. Even on a weeknight it was still a little busy at the bar. Seating is comfortable and drinks are properly poured. Price and can be a little high at times but not horrible. Good selection of all alcohols and beers. The location is easy to find as it is right off the main strip in downtown Plano. Stage just outside of their patio for live music and buskers. there's plenty of parking both on the street and in the parking lot directly beside the restaurant. Bartenders are very responsible and maintain a solid drunk free environment. They don't mind you drinking but they don't want you drunk and stumbling around like an idiot. Bathroom stay very clean and so does the rest of the place. Seating is very comfortable at the bar. Overall it is a great place to be.

The Fillmore is our favorite place for a beer and pub food. The menu includes burgers and sliders, salads, and a pub brunch served Saturdays and Sundays. But go for the beer which includes US-craft, Texas-craft, drafts, and imports. The dark wood of the restaurant and bar have a definite old world pub feel. The outdoor dining area overlooks a public stage and DART crossing; a really nice place to enjoy a beer and a meal in historic downtown Plano. This Saturday, the weather was perfect so we enjoyed a Ruben sandwich and fries on the patio. Fun fact: According to Plano Magazine, Fillmore was the first proposed name for the city, after President Fillmore, but the name was rejected.

Cheese fries took about 20 minutes: bartenders were more concerned with doing dishes (3 bartenders, half empty pub) than checking on us. We ordered two appetizers, one came out about 5-10 minutes and then the cheese fries were nowhere to be seen after about 20 minutes. No big deal, I get it, truly thought maybe it wasn’t rung in. Since no one paid attention to us the entire time after we got our first round of drinks, I had to grab a bartenders attention, in mind that I was just going to say hey we ordered cheese fries and it feels like it’s been a bit can you just check on that for us, he told me to hang on immediately before I could even say that, so that he could finish washing dishes. Got back to us about 5 minutes later. Idk, just in my opinion, 3 bartenders on and a half empty front of house, should never equate to the sub par “I hate my job and the people here” attitude that was portrayed. Wish I could blame it on the bad attitude of someone I was with, but that wasn’t the case this time. We ordered 1 round of drinks and were ignored and not spoken to unless we had to grab someone’s attention. Why am I tipping $14 on a $70 tab for someone who spoke to me twice and my food was late and cold? I should’ve tipped $5 for the two quick interactions I had. Why tip for the bill when I got zero service and sub par cold food that took forever to get out with a bar staff that literally shrugged me off to finish dishes when I was simply going to ask if they could check on those fries for me. Won’t be back, I can see why it was half empty on a...

From the time I walked it I loved it. The bartender Lance was amazing. His customer service , his knowledge of the menu, him remembering my name, made it feel like a town home spot I would come back to over and over again. He suggested the pepper jack chicken sandwich which was to die for... My only complaint would be I asked For no bacon on my sandwich but it came out with bacon on it. The older lady with the glasses who came from behind the bar to hand me my sandwich, I explained to her that I don't eat bacon or pork and within 2 minutes. She was back standing in front of me, letting me know she took the bacon off and she asked if that was okay. I looked her in her eyes and said if I told you I do not eat pork. Why would you think it's okay for you to take bacon off of a sandwich and bring it back to me? That meant y ou took your hands opened up my sandwich handle it, pull the bacon off of the chicken That was melted into the cheese and closed my sandwich backup and brought it to me cold and the fries. I suggested she's go to back.Make me a new sandwich and bring it back out. When the sandwich came back out, it was hot, fresh and delicious. And so were the steak fries nine out of ten only because of that but I will definitely be back because lance was amazing...
