This place is so cozy, and cool. Every single meal that came out of the kitchen looked AMAZING, we we're watching everyone else's food coming out everytime! Our food was also amazing and just so good. I also tried one of the signature in house made appatizers, the chips and dip, and this too was amazing! The drinks were a little expensive as I order a ginger beer first to try it. Then ordered a shot of Malibu rum to mix with it which they charged me six dollars for! I did this twice before being told I could order it a dollar cheeper as a drink because I decided to ask the waitress myself how much I was being charged and how much it would be as a drink. So I had a regular size ginger beer with a shot of Malibu rum for nine dollars! Whoa! Then another shot for six dollars, then the order as a drink which is half the size, for eight dollars, then had to order one more shot to finish my original ginger beer off for another six dollars! I feel like they should have accomdated the pricing for me a little better. So, I had four drinks total, three from my original ginger beer, with three shots of rum at six bucks a piece, so that is (6*3) + 3 for the ginger beer, and then +8 for the small drink, so that equals 29$ for four small drinks! I could have just gone and bought myself a whole bottle of rum and a case of ginger beer for that price!! Bar is very spacious in the back, has nice bathrooms, and is decorated in a very unique way, displaying the Art works of what looks to be local artists all over the walls from the front to the back. There is a huge variety of beer as well judging by the list that was placed in front of my boyfriend lol....Very cool place, but is charging full price for...
Read moreDecided to grab lunch here with some friends earlier today...pretty unassuming from the street, but once you get inside - oh boy! Spacious and clean with a warm atmosphere. There were eight of us, and we were able easily seat ourselves. We didn't have to wait very long for the barkeep to visit and serve drinks and distribute the menus. The menu is not complex, and it has some interesting "build your own Mac and cheese/grilled cheese/pizza" options with a ton of different toppings. I did grilled cheese with brisket and portabella mushrooms (it was great). There are also some main menu items including brisket burger, grilled chicken sandwich, or salmon. Plenty of sides to choose from and a full bar. There is a large back room for hanging out or playing darts or shuffleboard or Fooze ball. There are plenty of TVs in case you are there to catch a game. Overall, everybody that I was with enjoyed their meals - including my buddy who is a brisket critic. The meal portions were spot on. I felt satisfied and not sick from the amount that I ate. This is not a destination for people with gluten sensitivities, but if you are gluten free then you can make something work...probably a salad or something similar. If I lived closer to the restaurant then I would certainly go back and sample more of the menu. If I am in the area again then I will probably stop in for a drink and maybe something more. Last thing, the restaurant is located in a neat part of historic downtown Plano, so there are many nearby things to do or stores to poke...
Read moreI'm 36 years old, a navy veteran that's been in bars all around the world, this is the first time that I've ever been kicked out of one, before I even stepped foot inside. Why? Because I had a drunk friend who I convinced not to drunk drive home and to instead come with us to sober up. But the bouncer saw him and decided not to let our entire group in. I told him he would just drink water and that I would watch him, but then he said I was being argumentative and we all had to leave. My drunk friend called an Uber instead of sobering up, I told the bouncer we were there to meet our group of 30 coworkers all right in front of us, but he kept insisting that we all leave. I've never seen that in my life. It's the bartenders job to not serve drunks, not the bouncer to turn everyone away, 30 people leaving because one person was quietly too drunk? Crazy. I won't be back to this Plano strip. A bunch of stuck up, overly...
