Something MAJOR has changed at this place since we last ate there a month ago. I have heard about a change of chefs, and certainly, there has been a change of staff, along with some new menu items.
We ordered sushi, miso soup, Cashew Chicken with fried rice, and egg drop soup. We got a polite call from the restaurant saying that neither sushi nor miso soup were available, so we changed to lo mein noodles and steamed dumplings. The bags were tied at pick-up, so my advice would be to check before you leave.
The Cashew Chicken was replaced with an entirely different entree, but not worth the drive back. The entree we received was sliced chicken with two big pieces of gristle and a huge amount of large-chopped onion and bell pepper. The fried rice was inedible and it is usually a treat! It was very dry, lacking moisture, oil, and seasoning. I brought out the wok and added sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, and seasoned soy sauce with some improvement, but it would have taken more hydration and time to fix than I was willing to put in for a take-out meal. In the end, it was not worth the calories, so it went into the bin.
The lo mein was good, but the steamed dumpling filling lacked flavor and there was no dipping sauce included. They did give low-sodium soy sauce, but that is not the same thing by itself. The egg drop soup was pale and bland.
Anyone can have a bad day, but there were too many mistakes here to not see a clear pattern. We are going to take a break and let them re-tool their operation for a few months. If we have another similar experience, we will have to move on permanently. We wish them the best of luck and hope they can regain their quality and...
Read moreI have been delivering food for customers who’ve ALREADY PAID for their food for some time now. These customers often pay premium for their orders and they simply want their order provided them in a timely manner.
I get to see restaurants attitudes and customer service which is something food delivery customers don’t get to see in their absence.
However, there are restaurants who seem to forget that when a food courier asks how long before the food is ready we are asking as the customer who has ALREADY paid for their food.
So when this restaurant says ready in 5 mins that’s reasonable. However, when you ask again and they say why are you asking it hasn’t been 10 mins, when in actuality it’s been 15 mins that’s not a good sign. Now when the dumpling statute looking man who was preparing food with his bare hands and handling bags at the register retorts and says, can’t you see we have so many orders YOURE not the only one, if you don’t can’t wait then cancel the order!!
Customer you should probably cancel. Because, remember they’re not saying that to the food courier they’re saying that to YOU the...
Read moreI am an Uber courier. I hate that I have to leave a low review for food I didn’t experience but how I was treated not even ten minutes ago by the cashier woman working up front was unacceptable. Their sign says no public restrooms. Sure, fine… but the reality is that all of us couriers are having to do what we got to do right now. If I have to use the restroom in your establishment, while I’m working…. Then I should have that right even if I am personally not the paying customer. This woman belittled me. She yelled at me and tried to make me feel bad becuase I was not the customer. Your owner signed a contract to have Uber as your partner. Don’t clump us all together as a nuisance when I’m truly not doing anything disrespect other than what I have to do. How dare you woman. Sorry if you had poor experience with other couriers to deprive us of something that shouldn’t be an issue (I have done 1,500 trips in 4 years and this is the FIRST time I evert got yelled out to use the restroom) but it was an empty restaurant, you were on...
