If you can make your way to another Firehouse or a different restaurant in the area.
The worst experience at a Firehouse Subs Iâve ever had in my life. I walk in late to grab a last minute bite and the employees inside didnât even want to greet me upon entry (probably because they were almost closing)so the person in the back of the restaurant (not even visible to me) had to yell a greeting.
Feeling the unwelcoming energy I say to the employees out front âWhatâs wrong? You guys didnât want me to come in?â To which both young ladies start laughing. The young man in the back says âNo more locked doors!â
The gentleman comes out and I say âThank you for greeting me all the way from the back doesnât seem like they wanted me here.â
Upon hearing this, one of the young ladies says âShe did say hi, you just didnât hear her.â With the nastiest attitude, completed with an eye roll. After receiving this unwarranted attitude while making my order, I respond kindly by correcting her and say âNo, she did not say a word. I stared at her face as I walked in and her mouth didnât even move. Why do you have an attitude as if I did something wrong? No one including the young man working here didnât hear her say anything to us.â Which the young male employee and the other customers in the store confirmed as well.
As the young lady with braces and a black polo shirt became more irate with me for my dissatisfaction with their poor service, I asked for her manager and she swiftly responded, âI am the manager.â Yet when I asked for her name and the corporate info she told me to âgo look it upâ because she didnât know it. I was so angry after receiving her name, Mikaya Spates, or something of that nature because she spit it out venomously, I left the store to start this review.
I began to take pictures of the store and while I was in the store taking the pictures , which I am legally allowed to do for this review, she yelled âWE ARE CLOSED!â while a customer was in there along with me refilling his drink (As depicting in my images) & an employee was sweeping, proceeding the closing procedures, and she turned off the lights in the entire store and told me to get out originally following through with her unwelcoming energy.
Usually I come to this restaurant and eat, I have the app and get rewards towards purchases (which I lost due to using before paying for my order & leaving because I was being yelled at), and am normally openly welcomed no matter the time but this time I was basically driven out by unwelcoming employees who have the nerve to yell at me for not being happy with their POOR service and coming in close to closing time. No matter what time you come in you should be openly & happily welcomed. Iâm not a difficult customer, I had already prepared the order I wanted and I was going to be in and out but apparently that wasnât in Mikayaâs plan. I will be contacting corporate. As I said, another restaurant would be best at least they will be...
Read moreI ordered 2 "Club on a Sub" sandwiches. My wife is ill and I was thinking about her and not paying close attention. I paid and waited for them to be made. I was called, picked up the bag and headed home. When I got home to my sick wife, I handed her the bag. Imagine her surprise when the bag contained only ONE sandwich! I looked at the receipt I saw that I was only charged for one sub even though I distinctly ordered 2. I immediately picked up the phone and called the store. The employee who answered my call said he would get the manager on the line. I explained to manager, Jonathan. He seemed uncaring and dismissive and said, "Well, ma'am, you only paid for one. Now, if you want to come back to the store and pay for another one, that's all I can do." I was shocked at his flippant attitude! I replied, "I'm not the only one at fault here. Yes, I was only charged for one, but I distinctly ordered 2. So you want me to come all the way back there (over a 10-mile round trip) and you're going to do nothing for me? I'm not asking for an entire sub, but you could have offered a sincere apology and maybe $2 off or something. I've been in customer service over 40 years, and this is poor service. I will be calling corporate." He replied, "There's nothing I can do." My wife and I have ordered from this particular store about a dozen times over the last 3 months and this is the first time we've received lousy customer service. Not even offering a REAL, heartfelt apology or a couple of bucks off?!? There are many other sub shops we can give our money to. There's even another Firehouse Subs about 50 blocks south of this store on the same street. Oh, and I did indeed call the corporate office at 7:00 PM this evening.
Edit: I gave this place ANOTHER CHANCE (2.8.21) and they disappointed me again! I came in and ordered a sub with Mayo, lettuce and tomato ONLY. When I got the sub home, it also had some mustard on it!! It looked like someone put it on by mistake and tried to scape some off instead of making a new sandwich! What the hell?!? I also bought a new mint chocolate chip cookie and that tasted like the baker used baking soda instead of baking powder! I took one small bite and threw it in the trash.
I immediately called them and the man took my name and number and told me the owner would call me back the next day. Well, it's 6:00 PM on the 10th and no call yet. I would avoid this place like thile plague!! DON'T GO HERE!! There's another one about 3 miles south. GO THERE...
Read moreIâd like to follow up with a previous review made by John Steklasa. My experiences with firehouse at this location are usually more good than bad. I donât go to the sunrise location which is closer to me because my experiences there are usually not the best. I was displeased with the customer service today at the plantation location . I know that Firehouse subs prides itself on giving exceptional customer service, I ordered a large pepperoni meatball sub and a small meatball sub. I know the subs are toasted. I am a rewards member and frequently visit, the small sub was toasted really darker than I would like, borderline bread was burned. The server that originally gave me the small sub asked for it back while I was checking it because there was an item that he didnât put on the sub, which I appreciated. I asked for another sub less dark. The associate referred me to who I think was a manager. Iâve worked in customer service and the customer is normally right and we are trained to do out best to accommodate the customer. The gentleman I was referred to stated , â thatâs the way the subs are madeâ in a rude manner. I asked again could I have one less burnt, he restated his previous comments. In addition, I didnât receive the pickle with the large sub. I did not bother to ask after the interaction. I departed with my food. I am a local guide and pride myself on giving accurate honest reviews. I do not appreciate the customer service I received at this location at 1:15pm 4/29/2021. I love Firehouse subs and I also believe in exceptional customer service. I am hoping and confident that this behavior by the staff on duty, at the above stated time and date, will be addressed...
