McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Plantation

I was recommended McAlister’s today from 2 different people so I decided to order curbside tonight for dinner. The ordering process on their website was really easy, and the curbside was just as well. I ordered the following: French dip with tortilla soup for my husband, the New Yorker for my 6 year old who loves a hot pastrami or hot corn beef like my mother (who’s from NY) with the tomato cucumber salad that never arrived, I had the jalapeño turkey crunch with broccoli cheddar soup, and the baby ate a mac n cheese with steamed broccoli. My 6 year old enjoyed his sandwich but complained that it was a little salty and he was right. The meat was saltier than most delis we are used to. This sandwich was nowhere near authentic and more like grocery store deli. The baby enjoyed the Mac n cheese, and the kids enjoyed the steamed broccoli that they shared. Believe it or not the broccoli wasn’t a mushy mess like you’d get at most places. I would definitely order the broccoli as a side next time. The jalapeño turkey crunch was amazing! The turkey was smokey, the spice was just right and the avocado was perfect. I added spinach and omitted the bacon. I should have ordered a whole sandwich instead of a chose 2. I also wish it allowed me to select light mayo but that’s fine. The broccoli and cheese soup was typical. My husband reported the French dip as being good. He said he would eat it again for sure but that it was not the best he’s ever had. The tortilla soup was thick and on the creamy side- so a little different than expected. He said it had some spice which he enjoyed. Overall we would eat here again definitely trying something else, or maybe that jalapeño turkey...

So my fiancé and I got banned from this location today due to complaining about an employee who was sleeping during her lunch break and who was also failing to adhere to social distancing laws established by the government. This incident occurred a few days ago when we originally complained and brought this to the managers attention. We spoke with the manager Sophia who was understanding of the situation originally. But now we got turned away today, 3 days later, due to complaining about the safety concerns and unprofessionalism by this rude little 16 year old. This same employee cussed at us as she walked out the door and continued to cuss at us as we drove away.

We are dumbfounded that us regular customers who did come 2-3x a week are now banned and turned away. We have lost all respect for Mcallisters and they clearly do not care how their staff treats the customer. What happened to the customer is always right?

Quite funny because we came so often, other employees even knew us by name as well as always treated us professionally and respectfully.

Once again we are completely dumbfounded by the management of Mcallisters at this location! Avoid this location at all costs unless you are fine being disrespected, not cared for, and at a location THAT DOES NOT ADHERE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING LAWS! As well as failing to ensure their staff members follow these same STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS!!!!!!

Worst Mcallisters I have ever been too out of many locations in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina...

I was out running some errands on Saturday 10/20/2018, and decided to into McAlister's Deli, a place I'd been hearing about for a long time. I walked in and it looked like a ghost town because nobody was in there, I didn't know if that was a good or a bad sign, the staff was very friendly and a pleasure to speak with I don't remember her name other than it started with a G.,sorry I don't remember her name, she was also very helpful in helping me make my selections I decided on the choose two so I didn't have to just pick one, I was able to pick a half salad and half sandwich, so I chose the Chef Salad and the McAlister's Club, the salad was a nice size salad for it to only be a half it was made with the spring mix very fresh and tasty the Club sandwich was a triple decker also very tasty I like the fact that they use the spring mix as the greens on the sandwich made with ham, turkey and bacon. I was very impressed with McAlister's Deli, from affordable to very delicious sandwiches and salads with big portion sizes, I also heard that the Spuds are delicious and huge, so I will definitely be trying when I return. I can truly say that I am a fan great job keep up the good work and great customer...
