I don’t leave reviews I worked service industry for 35 years I know there are going to be issues. I go to this McDonalds usually once a week and today I had my worst experience ever. I go to the drive through and I’m in the outside lane. The car in front of me pulls off and leaves. I pull up and wait for someone to take my order and even say hello a few times and notice 2 cars in the other lane have had orders taken and pulled away. I left and went back around the building and pulled in the first lane drive through and my order gets taken and I notice the car was hat was behind me in the outside lane is still sitting there. So I tell the cashier that the outside lane is not being taken care of that I had to pull back around to get taken care of. I pay for my food get handed a bag and my fault I didn’t check the order. I got my food and took it to my granddaughter and she opens it and tells me it’s the wrong food. We got a McDouble, Nuggets and Fries. I ordered the Ranch wrap meal large with coke to drink. So I take the food and head back to McDonalds. I go through the drive through again and tell them at the order area I got home with the wrong food and explained what was ordered and what I received. I was told to go to the first window and they would take care of it there. I pulled up to where you pay and told the person there what happened so they asked if I needed the wraps I said yes. I was told that the front would be told and to get my food at the next window. When I pulled up the girl there tried to hand me some tea and I told her that wasn’t mine and she said the wrap and I said yes. I told her I would like fresh fries so I didn’t take home cold fries, she closed the window partially and I heard her say now she wants fresh fries. I didn’t say anything she looked in my bag and handed it to me and I started to leave. I looked in the bag and there was one wrap in the bag and no fresh fries. I walked back to the window and told her the order was still wrong that I ordered a wrap meal and that was two wraps and you gave me one and you didn’t give me the fresh fries I asked for. She just kind of smiled and called someone else over. By this time I am upset. She deliberately handed me one wrap and no fries when I asked her for fresh fries. I talked to the guy who came over and told him I was supposed to have 2 wraps a wrap meal has two wraps correct and he said yes it does did you tell the cashier you wanted two wraps. I said that’s the meal I ordered and it has two wraps. He said he was told I needed one wrap. I told him I order the ranch wrap meal and I made it home with a McDouble and nuggets no wraps so I needed another wrap and the fresh fries I asked for and didn’t get. He said he would make it right and did but the young lady just kept on smiling like she thought it was all funny. I was not mad until I had to go back and have my order corrected a second time. I know these young kids put up with a lot of crap from people and I always try and be nice. I never yelled or cursed tonight but I let it be known I was not happy with my service. Read moreThis McDonalds is a joke, much like the rest of the ones I've been to lately. I already don't like the "self-service" machines (thanks for being involved in the corporate American trend of cutting jobs to increase profits) but there was a small crowd at the front so we decided to use one anyways.
The first machine was out of order, so we go to the second one. After putting in our entire order, it asks me to select a drink, but a glitch in the software made it literally impossible to select a drink and move forward to place the order.
So we get in line with one person in front of us, and the employee didn't know how to handle a debit card transaction error, so she has to ask for help and it somehow took 6 minutes for one dude to place an order at a "fast" food "restaurant."
We order our food and go to find a table, have to walk past 3 of them that CLEARLY haven't been wiped off/cleaned, and settle for one that looks mildly dirty, grab some napkins, and wipe it off ourselves.
Then we go to use the hand sanitizer in the lobby and ALL 3 hand sanitizer dispensers are completely empty, so back to the bathroom it is. Time to dry the hands, but wait, no more paper towels, because that's obviously too expensive for McDonalds to afford. Guess I'll use the air dryer. Then I notice the wall below is stained/dirty from people that don't wash their hands properly, but the wall clearly hasn't been cleaned in months, if not longer.
Back at the table, we're brought our food, but the sauce and ketchup we asked for isn't there. Self service it is, I'll go get it myself.
My chicken sandwich was burnt to the point it tasted bitter, but at least the rest of our food was consistent with what you'd expect from McDonalds.
As we go to leave, I do a quick scan around the restaurant to look for other signs of cleanliness, but find a complete lack of it. Several other tables on the other side of the restaurant also hadn't been wiped off, some with food still on them. The floors? One table has several used napkins under it, another has french fries under it, and another has a nice blob of ketchup smeared across the floor from someone's shoe.
Absolutely pitiful, pathetic, and disgusting. I don't think I'll ever be going back to ANY McDonalds again after this experience. We didn't even let our kid play on the playground after he finished eating because we were pretty sure nobody had cleaned it in several weeks, probably longer.

They have no communication skills to lead their team let alone talk to customers. I had ordered on the app and as I was sitting in curbside with my kids they cancelled my order. I didn't have time to re order and the drive through line was back up to the street. I had to leave because I had to be at an appt. Assuming since they cancelled my order, I would be refunded and I was not. I am currently pregnant, and was already so hungry and so sick to my stomach that morning. So I get back in town and really needed food. I went back and talk to the manager who made excuses and told me it was messing with their times. As someone who has worked in food business and fast food, I do understand that. But to cancel someone's order as they're in the parking lot because times, that's messed up in my opinion. I told her I just wanted my food. I was being understanding, and asked if I can get my food made. They waited another 15+ mins to give me my food. Not only was it myself but I had my kids with me, which some of the food was for. As I'm waiting I hear the manager in the back complaining and laughing at me. Then I got my food and the bread for my kids sandwiches were stale and she only filled my fries up barely above the halfway mark. This was extremely disappointing and I got home feeling even more hungry and upset due to this. Especially being pregnant and my kids food being bad. Honestly if you're in Platte City, go to a different restaurant. This Mc Donald's has disappointed over and over again.
