My friends and I went here on a Sunday morning to taste out some of their pastries, and have a cute little Convo. On our way there, I was surprised that I was quickly able to find parking, and relatively close to the front door. I want to say we arrive somewhere around 11:20 AM. we all got around 8 to 10 pastries, this range in a total of about $30 for us each. Myself and one other friend also got a drink. I would say getting the drinks were the most difficult part of our ordering.
For those who don’t know, at this restaurant, you are able to pick up the pastries from display cases in the restaurant. There is a tray, What I think is wax paper, and tongs for you to use. There are multiple pastries available, and I would say that your best way of knowing what pastries are going to be there is simply to go in. My friend remark that there was a specific pastry she was interested in trying, I want to say it was a raspberry croissant, and the guy who helped her check out, informed us that they have never had a raspberry croissant. There are sometimes just items on the website that are not at all participating locations. Totally understandable and fine, as all of the pastries were still absolutely delicious.
Another interesting thing that I did not expect is that though multiple people got in line behind us, I would say the line total including us was about 20 to 25 people, we were quickly able to find a table that seated the four of us. The restaurant was of course loud, the material of the building is quite echoey, and there are a lot of people walking around, enjoying their day and eating. But we were still somewhat able to hear ourselves as well as the staff in the front of which one woman was calling out names for people who ordered drinks. As a previously stated, getting her drinks, might’ve been the hardest thing, but this was to no fault of the restaurant. I think they just had so many orders of drinks that it was being held up a little bit, but not so much that it was displeasing. I want to say it took me five minutes to get the mango lemonade refresher that I ordered and my friend seven minutes for her to get her coconut coffee. I wish I remembered exactly what the coconut coffee was called.
I absolutely cannot wait to go back to this location. I’m hoping that it’ll be soon! The staff were all extremely friendly. There was a woman who was constantly refilling the pastry display cases who, even though she was busy, was perfectly fine answering questions from my friends and I. If anything, I would definitely recommend that as early as possible if there’s a specific pastry that you want as I can see them emptying out very quickly.
My personal favorites were the apple turnover and butter,...
Read moreAh, Paris Baguette in Pleasant Hill! This charming bakery cafe is a delightful spot for satisfying sweet cravings. As a food enthusiast with a sweet tooth, I can't recommend it enough. Let's delve into their pastry paradise!
The star of the show for me is definitely the tiramisu cup. It's a symphony of creamy textures and coffee bliss. Each spoonful is a perfect balance of ladyfinger cake, rich mascarpone cheese, and a touch of coffee liqueur. It's pure indulgence in a tiny cup!
For a warm and comforting treat, the cinnamon apple pie is a winner. The flaky crust cradles tender, caramelized apples that are bursting with cinnamon spice. It's the perfect afternoon pick-me-up, especially when enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (not included, but oh so worth the addition!).
And of course, no visit to Paris Baguette is complete without a slice of cake. The strawberry soft cream cake is a delightful option. Light and fluffy sponge cake layers are filled with a sweet strawberry cream and topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Fresh strawberries add a pop of color and freshness.
Now, while the pastries are undeniably delightful, the coffee and tea selection left me wanting a bit more. For a bakery cafe, I would have loved a bolder cup of coffee or a wider variety of loose leaf teas. However, the pastries are so delicious that a quick coffee run elsewhere can easily be forgiven.
Overall, Paris Baguette in Pleasant Hill is a fantastic spot for satisfying your sweet tooth. With its charming atmosphere and delectable pastries, it's a must-visit for any...
Read moreWe had high hopes for this bakery because there cake are delicious. My fiance and I order 12 cakes (a 3 tiered cake, a 2 tiered cake, and 10 single layered blue berry chiffon cakes). We made these arrangements in advance, paid for them in advance, met with Ted (manager) to talk about them in preparation for our wedding. There was a promise made by Ted stating they would support our order. The day of the wedding, the PB team only gave our people picking up the cake one single cake. When our people asked for the rest of the cakes, the employees shared that was the only one.
When it was time for us to cut the cake, we didn't have enough cake to give our guests. We had our friends run out and get the remainder of our cakes. The PB team took responsibility due to an error made by their new employee and gave us an additional cake for our troubles.
This mishap caused many of our wedding guest to leave and had no opportunity to get cake. We had so much cake left over. We tried to contact Ted for resolve and there was no response or return calls after this. We will not be returning to this...
