The Olive Market — Restaurant in Pleasanton

This market came across my friends IG and we were so excited for a deli near by! We stopped here on our way home to get some sandwiches and browse the olive oils. The place is in a strip mall with other businesses so it looks small from the outside but it’s actually a decent size. It’s actually a Mediterranean market which is awesome because the only Other one is in Dublin and is very expensive. We spoke to the very nice woman working there and she gave us a little back story about the market. It’s been there for about 6 months and the owner is Palestinian. They have a large selection of oils and middle eastern groceries. The store is very clean, bright and welcoming. The deli counter is small but it has everything you need. They have a selection of sandwiches and a make your own one. I got the four quarters and my friend made her own. It’s a bit pricy but the sandwiches are stacked with meat and fresh ingredients. I loved my sandwich, could have done with more mayo but that’s just preference. My friend mentioned her turkey was a bit dry but turkey is hit or miss with that since it’s a lean meat. Okay, I can easily say this is my new favorite sandwich spot! What a great addition to Dublin as I feel we’ve been missing a good sandwich place.. plus it has great market items. The bread is very fresh, the deli meat also tastes fresh and they give you large portions. I also love how they thinly slice the tomatoes and how they use shredded lettuce. They are HUGE sandwiches and priced well. They have a variety of different drinks, snacks, sweets and other items. Everyone that works there has been extremely friendly. Found this place while parking to go to the usual when in the area, Starbird. So glad I did. First walking in I was greeted with a big smile by Eilnaz. I felt like I was walking into a Michelin starred restaurant! When I left to go use the bathroom at Starbird she also welcomed me back. TOP WORK. I ordered the ‘Padrino’ sandwich is was excellent.
