First time there, and won't be back! Need security, not one wannabe "security" that does nothing, but, REAL SECURITY. You make enough off your overpriced food, drinks, shows etc. to afford one. When buying tickets to a show that starts at 10:15 I expect to be in my seat watching a show AT 10:15! Not standing in the line still, WELL OVER AN HOUR, because others are rushing the front and can't comprehend the simple concept of what "get in a line" means. One person at the door yelling to get in line "or you don't get in" LOL isn't going to cut it, wake up. Oh, and trust me, we definitely WOULD get in regardless. We had paid tickets, unless you're prepared to issue those REFUNDS on the spot! We got in an hour and a half after the show was supposed to start, because your one useless "security" person was too scared to handle the crowd correctly. Definitely not worth your money folks! WAY over priced drinks, over priced food that doesn't taste good, too hot inside, small, and only a few mediocre "comedians" that aren't on stage long at all, and the entire show was short. Wouldn't spend a dime here again. ALSO FYI if you want a refund that you feel you're due, and they "refuse", all you have to do is contact your bank / credit card company, and report the transaction as fraud, and unauthorized, you will get your FULL refund issued to you within just a few days! Just so you know, you're not out your money. Also, the place is very small, and they jam you in, with no room to even move, very uncomfortable seating, very unorganized, and unprofessional establishment. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY FOLKS! There is many much better comedy clubs in the Bay Area, and...
Read moreTook my husband to Tommy T’s for a much needed date night after being homebound with a new baby the past 6 months and I’m glad I did. We had a great time and it wasn’t as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be. We purchased tickets to see Desi Bank at 9:40pm online; be sure to read the disclosure before purchasing. In order to receive your ticket(s), you must present both the card used for purchase, along with a government issued ID with matching name to card used at the ‘will call’ ticket area. We arrived at 9 pm and there were plenty of parking, so no need for VIP parking (which costs $40, this is also listed on the website). We went up to the ‘will call’ ticket area and presented the cards and got our tickets and was seated right away. They have someone seat you, you don’t get to choose your own seating. Our server, Stephanie, greeted us right away and took our orders. She was great and super attentive even though it was super busy. The site states that we need to order a minimum of 2 items per guest, but we ordered just three items and was not pushed to order a 4th. A card is required to be put on tab, and the server lets you review the check before closing it out. Note that there is a 15% gratuity added on the check. The show itself was great. Started at 10:20 instead of 9:40 though and there were two opening acts (Mario Hodge & Detroit Reid) before Desi Bank took the stage. The show was about 1.5 hours long. Word of advice, don’t sit in front or on left side because you will be targeted and be made fun of. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back for...
Read moreOkay, so we have been to Tommy T’s a couple times, and have had a good time. The food isn’t great, the service is most times slow, but we knew this coming in because we have been here before. We came to see Tommy Davidson, and we were NOT impressed AT ALL with his performance! The 2 openers were WAY better & funnier than Tommy Davidson. So our table (of 6 people...all family), weren’t finding him funny & weren’t laughing, decided to order a round of shots, thinking that maybe we needed to drink something so he would maybe be funnier after we had a shot. (Lol) Well one of the workers came up to us, and said I think you guys should go because “people” want to hurt you...we were like What the F! Well it got a bit ugly after that...nothing violent, but if we were different kinds of people, we could have went there, but like I said we were with family and trying to have a fun night out. But it’s unfortunate that the staff acted in a way it did and it’s unfortunate that Tommy Davidson acted also in such an immature way (very unprofessional), that me, along with my family will no longer go to any function at Tommy T’s and support upcoming comedians there. It was a horrible experience and I just want to for warn any other people to not condone this behavior from Tommy T’s and do not attend any shows of Tommy Davidson’s, because not only was he not funny and not worth $1.00, but he was very unprofessional in his manners. That’s all for me review. If you do decide to go there after ready this, just don’t go see Tommy’s show, cause you will be...
