Just ate at the “Food Court” (all of 5-6 restaurants in there) at the Outlets in Tannersville,PA. In a nutshell, cleanliness and overall presentation is an issue across the board, but we chose Romanos Pizza thinking it to be a safe bet. The guy who took our order also worked the grill- no gloves, had hangin curly hair with no hairnet and a terrible attitude. The girl making the pizza was who was also miserable, kept picking up her cell phone in between handling the dough, stretching it out and making the pizza. Never did she wash her hands in between .THEN, she also worked the register, handled the credit card machine, then her cell phone again, no gloves even, then went right back to making pizza (hands in the cheese too!). Still, no hand washing. The only saving grace, I hope, is the oven temp kills anything that could be transferred. My husband’s fries and cheesesteak took almost 20 minutes and others that came right behind us with kids were also patiently waiting for their tenders and fries. I know getting help is hard, but cleanliness should not be negotiable. We will never be eating at this place or any other of these again. Whoever owns this one, you should train your employees to be more sanitary. (And a little...
Read moreThis place was terrible if you were getting anything other than pizza or gyros. An Italian hoagie with everything, and this is their version of "oil, vinegar, oregano". 2 small spots of vinegar. No oil, no oregano. I had to ask for new mayo packets, the ones in the bin were covered in something nasty and crusted. I'm pretty sure it was moldy also. My daughter got chicken tenders and fries. 4 people behind me got their gyros and fries before I even got her food. Then my child proceeded to tell me that her tenders are hot, but her fries were ice cold.
I understand being busy, but it was not busy. It was a typical lunch. While sitting outside, the ladies at the table behind me were questioning where their friend was and was concerned. Finally, she came walking out.. equally as upset as I was over others food coming out (gyros and fries) before hers and waiting so long for one order of fried popcorn chicken.
This was our first and last time ever eating here. I'm sure it was the other lady's also.
P.S. tell your male worker to wear gloves when he shoves his hands into the tin of Pepperoni. And all your other workers to wear gloves. Plus, writing the order with permanent marker on the bottom of my Styrofoam plate, is...
Read moreFirst time I ever threw away pizza. Glad my wife suggested I get my money back for the fries ( before I threw them out ). ME ? Throwing away PIZZA ??? & FRIES ?!!!?!!?? Giving my money back (for the fries) the older lady says : I’ve served a thousand slices today & you’re the first to complain. This was the weekend before school started - MANY people school shopping - I’m willing to bet that I’m not the only one who was disappointed. Bad service overall although the cook came from the back to hear my complaint & had a good attitude stating that he’s “always open to criticism”. Must add that the prices were horrible - for example - there’s a cheesesteak place directly next to them with an overpriced cheesesteak but Romano’s costs MORE...
