I've been going to Red's Lobster Pot Restaurant for almost 10 years. It's very small and cramped on the inside, but the food is worth dining here for. There is always a wait so when they are able to have indoor dining again make sure you make a reservation. The specials are always outstanding! The seafood is always fresh and delicious! I've done curbside dining twice this year so far since the shut down, and both were enjoyable experiences. They have their regular menu available plus their weekly specials lists and homemade desserts available for take out. For appetizers we had their garlic bread, lobster Mac and cheese, coconut shrimp, and the lobster bisque. You have to order their garlic bread with your dinner. Its so good! The coconut shrimp was so good, and the shrimp were huge! The lobster Mac and cheese is usually really good here, but two weeks ago when I ordered it for takeout there wasn't enough cheese. It was dried out and stuck to the pan. The lobster in it was plentiful and fresh. I'd give in another shot again, but I'll let them know prior to ordering it to make more creamier. The lobster bisque soup was good. For entrees we had for curbside takeout were the grilled Faroe Salmon, mushroom and lobster strudel, scallop scampi, and lobster fra diavlo. The best dinner out of all of them was the mushroom lobster strudel with mashed potatoes! It was AMAZING! If it's on the specials order it! The Faroe Salmon with tomato risotto was very good! The scallop scampi was Excellent! They were generous with the amount of scallops they gave, and the scampi sauce was delicious! The lobster fra diavlo was delicious too! The sauce had a nice amount of heat to it. It had lots of fresh lobster meat in it! The only thing for me is I like more sauce with my pasta dishes. I felt there wasn't enough sauce in the fra diavlo dish for my preference. I'd definitely order it again, but next time ask for more sauce to that dish. Desserts here are a must order! They are all Fantastic! My favorite one is the peanut butter pie! Today they had a black bottom banana cream pie on their specials list that was outrageous! This restaurant gets 5 stars from me as I find it to be the best place I've been too for seafood in a casual setting in Point Pleasant. They are doing a great job with their curbside dining too! I highly recommend Red's Lobster Pot in...
Read moreThis unique and charismatic dinning environment was pleasing. I have been eating up and down the Jersey Shore for 35 years and have never had a meal so perfectly prepared. This establishment offers intimate fine dinning on a small scale but definitely worth the wait on a busier evening. A larger outside dosckside seating and menu is available as well. So good we were there two days in a row...the first night for dinner and today for a casual lunch. I had the stuffed twin lobster tails...it was like a forkful of heaven with each bite. For lunch today we both had the lobster bisque and cold slaw...it was equally just as delicious! Most importantly I might mention that the service from beginning to end just wrapped a nice little bow around the package. While it was a busy Sunday night in the heart of the season I was very impressed with who I surmised might have been the manager. She was well dressed and had her constant finger on the pulse of every inch of this place...she checked in with us when we were first seated and again through our meal. As it would turn out as we were leaving she was in the parking lot speaking with someone and I stopped to tell her what an amazing meal we had and ask if she was the manager. She said yes...I am the owner. I complimented her staff as well. It runs like a well oiled machine with no noise. We went on to chat for about 10 minutes and I mentioned we would be back for lunch the next day before leaving. When we arrived today and went to order our food outside... there like I imagined was the owner again! Recognizing us she came right over to say hello. Definitely a 20 on a scale of one to ten. Thank you Marisa for your attentive hospitality and kudos to you on a job well done when it comes to...
Read moreBelow is my review from 3 years ago and unfortunately our recent visit was very unfortunate. We made a reservation online requesting an ocean view. When we arrived the hostess guided us upstairs into the closed small area where you have to turn your neck for a view and the reason why we wanted a view is because we had company in from Canada who specifically wanted to go so they could sit at a restaurant, overlook the ocean and eat lobster.. We let hostess know that we made a reservation for an Ocean view, she was young and sweet but also like a deer in headlights and unable to handle our situation. She said that all of the tables were reserved. We reserved the table too - with a view. She said there was nothing that she could do. When we got there, there were two to three tables in the area with the ocean view that were vacant. She said those tables were reserved, And keep in mind that we also an oceanfront view. When we left, there were four open tables in the area that we originally reserved. They could have easily sat us in the area that we originally reserved. I have been in the restaurant industry for many years and understand how important it is to accommodate customers because at this point we will not be back. There are too many other good places on the water.
The view was amazing! We sat outside next to the water. Great service too. We had the lobster raviolis hasn't appetizer, the stuffed flounder and pistachio encrusted halibut. All were very good. We would definitely go back. They do have some wine selections there but...
