I absolutely love this place!
So I came to pompano for a vacation. On the last day of our trip, my group decided to get up early to watch the sunset and make our way to the coffee shop afterwards. We spotted this coffee shop the night before on our way back from dinner, but by then it was already closed.
However, that night we all agreed to make it our mission to check it out the following day (before we flew back home). And I just want to say that I am so glad that we went because I had thee BEST coffee there. I ordered the iced coffee with oatmilk and caramel. Initially I was worried that the one pump of caramel they put in, wouldnāt be enough (since I like my coffee on the sweeter side)⦠but boy was I was wrong. The coffee was PERFECT and so smooth. The girls with me had pastries, bagels, and avocado toast⦠oh by the way, they went for doubles on the pastries!!
We sat outside and I as I continued to brag to my group about how this was the best coffee I had, I immediately went back inside and asked for the closest bag of coffee on the shelf, to the one I ordered because I had to purchase to have back home. I bought one bag of their house roast and went back for a second bag because I just wanted to make sure I was going to have enough. The staff was amazing and the gentleman (who I believe was the manager) offered to grind it to the setting they make it in house. How freaking awesome!! As if the coffee wasnāt enough, the manager and his staff kept going above and beyond⦠talk about exceptional, top notch service!
I was so disappointed that I hadnāt found out about How You Brewin earlier during our trip because I would have been there everyday!. Anyway, I walked outside and some lady stops my group and asks us where we got the coffees we were walking with. I pointed to the coffee shop, while telling her how I just had the best coffee/ and experience there. She said thank you and we saw her go in (I hope she enjoyed it just as much as we did).
Brewing at home: I have had coffee from Starbucks and Dunkinā and they NEVER taste the same as when bought in store vs when made at home. Now that I have had the opportunity to brew their house roast coffee at home, I can proudly confirm/say that it tastes EXACTLY the same as the day I had at Pompano. I canāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were visiting the pier and local shops on vacation when I came across How You Brewin. I went in to poke around and see if maybe I needed a coffee.
First of all, the store is beautiful. We loved the murals and art work. They have great "souvenir" options in their tshirts, hats and my personal favorite, oversized coffee coaster made from recycled materials (a $5 bargain).
Once I got past the shopping, I moved over to the menu. OMG... the blended, the hot, the smoothies, the lunch items... y'all - THIS IS NOT JUST A COFFEE SHOP. I ended up with a blended caramel frappe - something I'd consider myself a connoisseur of š - and I'm here to tell you it did NOT disappoint. It was a creamy, decadent, blended caramel goodness I didn't know I needed in my life. It was a whole new level of amazing!
Last but not least, the staff. Super great. Super friendly. Super good at what they do and THEN we got lucky and met the owner, Kelsey. What a treat! She was the sweetest and made me wish I lived in Pompano because we would SURELY be friends.
Do NOT sleep on How You Brewin if you're in the Pompano Beach area.
We'll be backHow You Brewin'! We'll be back before we leave this week and we absolutely won't forget you next time we come to Pompano.
Thanks for Curating a Hub of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time I came here I was looking at the menu above the counter from a distance and the older light brown hair lady (I think the supervisor) seemed agitated asking āare you just gonna stand around or are you gonna orderā (aggressively tapping the fingers on the monitor). Even still Iāve been going at least once a week since since I love the iced coffee with the breakfast sandwich but this time I decided to ask for light ice since my large cup last time was more then 3/4 full of ice. I noticed itās 50 cents more and (same lady) she states if I want more portion of coffee I have to pay more with a snark facial expression, Iām paying for a large coffee⦠I shouldnāt have to pay extra for light iceā¦Greedy place! itās already one thing to charge for almond milk and other stuff. Every time I get her as the person taking the order I dread the interaction, her energy and demeanor, she just seems so miserable š. She also put someone else food on our table and we tried to get her attention and it sat there for 5 min until the really nice young girl came by and she got it to the right table. The other employees are great. Side note also use to get military discount but thatās no longer. Whatās the incentive to even support a place like...
