I haven't been coming to this Wendy's as frequently lately as towards the end of the day their chili has very little meat left in it. I decided to give it a chance today, however I was quickly reminded why I usually go through the drive thru. The interior was filthy, every table that was available to sit at was dirty. One of the the garbage cans was overflowing and the drink lids were all over the drink station. There were no packets of bbq left so they are using small cups with lids to fill with bbq. I received 2 of these which both contained what appeared to be shredded cheese in the bbq sauce and bbq was all over the outside of the little cups. 4 of our 8 chicken nuggets were hard and questionable. When asked if our food was for dine in or to go we said dine in but they had bagged it all up. The bags also had bbq on the outside of them. Everything I touched in the restaurant was sticky. Typically in fast food restaurants you see at least one employee cleaning the dining area, not today. There was a bit of a rush when we came in but it slowed down and still no cleaning. The one employee who may have been a manager seemed sincere and apologetic when I told him our food was for dine in and when I requested different sauce. The employee who took my order did not give me any indication that she had been trained in customer service. She barely acknowledged me when it was my turn to order. I'm not sure if there is different management or ownership but there has definitely been a decline in service and cleanliness of this restaurant which is unfortunate as being so close to the highway many people are just stopping in for a bite to eat from out of town and this is a pretty bad representation of what our community has to offer. Get it together Wendy's or I will definitely be taking my...
Read moreTime stamp: (08/23/2025) 8:40pm - 10:00pm. Waited in the drive through line for about 10-15 minutes before we could start our order. Ordered our food going through the drive through. Granted we ordered quite a bit of food. Truthfully though, speaking as a former restaurant employee it wasn’t that big of an order that you could mess it up. Here’s what we ordered : 20pc Honey BBQ Saucy Nuggs, 2x Large fries, 1 Medium Carmel Crunch Frosty Fusion, 1 Large Lemonade, 1 Medium Ravens Blood Frosty, 1 Chicken sandwich, 10pc Half spicy half regular chicken nuggets, and finally 2x Baconator Fries. Drive through employee was super patient super nice. Get to the window she still has patience, still is nice. We pay and she asks us to pull forward for our food after handing us our drinks. We waited about 10 minutes, again no big deal. Got our food and pulled out of the parking lot, drove 1.5 minutes away from the restaurant only to realize we are missing half our food so we go back. Get back to the restaurant tell them we’re missing our food and the employee didn’t seem to care, after about 5 more minutes of waiting to get the rest of our food, the manager finally asks if we have been helped and eventually the problem is fixed and we leave with all of our food. Once we dig into our food, everything was fine except two things, 1 being the 2 Large fries were hard and not edible to the point where basically more than 1 whole one was thrown away and this is all that was edible (pic) and 2 this is supposed to be the saucy nuggs (pic) ????? So basically we bought over priced regular chicken nuggets that we had to sauce up ourselves. $50.00 worth of food and to be honest won’t be...
Read moreHaven’t been to a Wendy’s in 20 years. Stopped at the Pontiac, IL location on the way home to Chicago. Got the 10 piece nugget. I’ve worked in the F&B industry for over 25 years, so when I know something is wrong, I know. They looked like they had been cooked in grease that hadn’t been changed in 2 or more days. They tasted like they were freezer burnt and just generally “off”. Ate 1 and half of another before I threw the other 8 1/2 away.
Minutes later in the car started to get a headache. Two hours later and back in Chicago I had a migraine, shakes, chills, and cramps. I’ll save you the rest.
Young man behind the counter looked like he hadn’t showered in a day, and he and the rest of the staff had the same inconvenienced disposition. I understand it’s a fast food joint, in small town America, on Easter… but they are lucky I got sick and not my 2 or 4 year old daughters. Then I wouldn’t be commenting here but calling my attorney instead.
Fast food is supposed to be consistent in overall product quality, execution, and experience. If your establishment has poor quality, executes on a level similar to the DMV, and leaves you with a food poisoning experience then you need rebranding with new management or...
