[[This review is more so based on the customer service from the woman in this establishment. The food is always good . But last night, not so much to what im used to. ]]
Where do I start..... So I've been coming here for the past year and a half. I love Chazitos. Haven't had a bad experience uuntillast night. I'm a truck driver, so I usually call to place a takeout order before I arrive. When the short lady with the glasses answered the phone and realized I didn't speak Spanish, she instantly put me on hold. I was already 10 minutes away from the location. On the phone, I could hear her singing. Which isn't a big deal. I stayed on the phone all the way up till I got there. When I arrived, it wasn't busy. This was around 9:00 P.M....She asked if I was picking up or placeing an order, and in that moment, I can see the phone they used to take orders with on the side of the register with me still on the line. I wanted to school her so bad, but instead decided to leave a review because this is non-sense. I was on the line waiting for over 20 minutes . And while I was waiting , could see her singing and dancing in the back... that's no big issue . But remember, you're at work, lady. You have people the cater to.
After I placed my order , I didn't know what the slow up was... I have never waited this long for my order. When observing the staff, I noticed that it was only the women back there. Usually, when I come in the daylight hours, the men are in the establishment as well. I watched them move at their own pace, suffling around ,talking and etc, as if they didn't have customers to attend too. I was even more frustrated when I was waiting there for a while , and a family of four came in, placed their order, waited, and got served before me . It made me start to think it was a favoritism thing because the family of four spent more money, and I wasn't from their culture. The cashier lady even saw the look on my face because she knew I caught on.
Anyways after getting my food nd making it back to the truck. I can see that the pork wasn't marianeated and seasoned to how I always get it. So I figured thats why they were taking so long because they had to prep it . (Usually, in the daylight hours, it's pre seasoned and prepped ) , and it doesn't take long to prepare. Now , I proceeded to feast on this food . I noticed foil paper in my rice. I said DAMN, I'm definitely leaving a review today. "As for my side, I told them a salad, which always comes with lettuce, Tomatoes, and avocado and cheese. Tell me how the didn't put no tomatoes in my salad. That made me even more pissed. I can go on and on.
Listen, Chazitos. The food is great, and i overstand that every day is not christmas... I love you guys.. but you guys need to do better. I prefer when the men are there because it's more structured, and BTW , e need some better portions when it comes onto the rice... please...
Read moreI normally try to stay positive since there is too much negativity these days but I can't on this one. It was not a good experience, This will be long and detailed. I do take into account one of their systems were down, it was raining and busy but at the same time one person working up front that can communicate with customers is not enough for dinner a crowd. We had to order from a kiosk in which people were lined up behind us and we felt rushed. I had never been there before so I had no clue what to order. No paper menu available to look at and the menu on their website was different and the prices had not been updated in a while with some prices being 3-4 dollars higher in restaurant vs online, usually the online prices are higher. When I did order I had to find someone who could understand me to talk to about the changes I wanted, I don't like things getting soggy so I requested the plantains be separate from the rest of the dish as I would of if I were getting tortilla chips for nachos, the meal was essentially that with plantains instead of chips. I also changed the sauce. It came out separate but was missing key ingredients like avocado. It was packed soon after we arrived so I just ate what came out. The sweet plantains were amazing but the green ones were not cooked all the way or overcooked they were so tough to chew and very hard to even pull apart by hand. Extremely chewy not crispy as the menu said. My friend has many food allergies including gluten, allergies that can send her to the hospital. We asked them not to put their seasoning on her meat because it has Ingredients she can't have, she has gotten the same exact meal off of their food truck and had really enjoyed it, this time it came out totally different the meat was not the same it had peppers and other seasonings on it that we're different from the food truck, along with it being a totally different cut/style of meat as well, even though she ordered from the food truck menu. They said they didn't put the seasoning on it but She had a reaction soon after starting to eat, so she couldn't finish eating. She had to buy a $3 bottle of water because they said they weren't allowed to serve tap water. It will be quite a while before I would try them...

I visited them with my family today and can't say enough about this great restaurant and it's owner and staff, being greeted by the owner and he himself taking our order and servicing our table personally was super nice, the staff amazing, everyone so nice the environment amazing and the food. We really felt welcomed. Goodness gracious the food, SO So good and truly authentic to our island s food.
From their people to the food, the great menu the games, they even have Puertorrican briscas and dominoes ready for its customers to eat and play. Nothing better than the Puertorrican feeling inside and outside the restaurant, it's feeling like being back in our encgmhanted land, to the big sized games outside and seating for all to enjoy, and last but not least the live music of Venus Valensia at the beautiful terrace area. Couldn't be a better choice and I really recommend it. Go visit them you'll fall in love not only with the food but the environment and its service. Truly great!!!
