First off let me say that this might be a biased review because Moe's is one of my favorite casual/ fast food restaurants. I went into this particular Moe's today to grab some lunch for my son. I proceeded to order a vegetarian bowl with rice and black beans. The young lady, who was friendly by the way, was scooping small spoons of beans out of the large amount of bean juice in the bowl and asking me over and over if it's enough. I kept telling her s little more please. She finally asked me what was going to be my protein and I said... the beans. She struggled but managed to get another tablespoon of beans out of the bean juice. She proceeded to the toppings and I asked for onions and asked if she had any mushrooms. She told me no and that the mushrooms have been discontinued; at least for now. I was thinking to myself, I just ate at Moe's last week and didn't hear about this.... The young lady who rang up my order was nice enough but whenever I wanted to use my app to get my points, she proceeded to explain to me that you can only do that before she closes it out. I explained to her that in Charleston, there is a barcode to scan on the receipt. She proceeded to tell me that they're different. Yes you are. Thank you. Doubt if I will be back. Oh, to top everything off, I get back to the house with my order and my son starts eating his chips. He pulls out something that looks like a raw piece of chicken in the middle...
Read moreA good place to pick up a meal in the Pooler area Moe's Southwest Grill, often simply called Moe's, was founded in December 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia. The name "Moe's" stands for "Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers," reflecting the brand's quirky and fun-loving personality. Moe's quickly gained popularity for its fresh, made-to-order Tex-Mex fare, including burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and salads. As of 2023, Moe's operates 628 locations across 37 states. This particular location is at the end of a line of stores. It seems a busy stop and had a good deal of customers when I went there for dinner. Parking was a little challenging due to it’s corner location and the volume of traffic for the other shops in the center. The menu is along the wall on your left as you enter the line to order your food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One person takes your order, one adds extras, one prepares your plate or bag and another checks you out. The food was prepared quickly right in front of you as you move down the line. The prices were reasonable given the economy and the amount and quality of food you receive. I ordered a chicken bowl with white rice and black beans. It was very good. The drinks and salsa are across from the register. They have a good selection of food to order and drinks to include iced teas. Overall I would recommend this to any hungry travelers in area for the food quality,...
Read moreJust ordered today and I got a kids meal (which comes with an entree item, a salsa of your choice, a sauce side of your choice, chips, a cookie, and a drink) and a bowl meal with two sides of queso. I was missing more than half of the items. I was missing a drink, a queso, a drink, a cookie, and was given the wrong kind of salsa. Food itself was fine (it’s Moe’s, what do you expect). Was kind of cold but could be chopped up to picking it up and driving it back home, but overall just a bummer experience and probably won’t be coming back to at least this location. Wouldn’t normally write a review, but how hard is it to miss this many items in an order.
EDIT: After reading through reviews and responses to reviews, this location sucks. So many problems with staffing being rude and orders being wrong, and the only response from management is “Sorry, I’ll tell them they messed up” Don’t get food here, move on, there’s a million other restaurants and fast food joints in pooler to go to. Heck, even go to the Moe’s in Savannah if you want it that badly. Anything’s...
