I’m very disappointed in Aldi here in Pooler! Months of waiting to finally have a store that is close to the stores that we have in Europe. The ONLY European thing Is that you have to put a quarter in to the Shopping cart and that you have to purchase a bag on the checkout. Oh yes I cannot forget the other European thing is that they will not bag your groceries which is fine I do it better myself anyway. 95% of produce and products in the store comes from America, I’m sorry but I don’t need to come to Aldi for products that I can buy Walmart or Publix. In all store is nice and clean right now it’s new, but to get a European feel you don’t need to come here. Even the breads that you can find in so cold bakery are from United States. I only could find one kind of coffee, that is a common coffee you can buy Publix Walmart Bilo and any other stores. In all as I stated above I’m very disappointed. You can buy actually more European products in Publix or world market versus this little store here in Pooler. What does go for them is that the prices for now Are super low and you can buy duck for $10 less then you get in Publix. Good luck guys hopefully Lidl will do a better job wants and if...
Read moreThere are plenty of parking spaces most of the time. There are multiple handicapped spaces and a wheelchair-accessible entrance. The shopping carts are outside. You need to put in a quarter to get them to release. You get your quarter back when you return the cart. You must bring your own bags for your purchase because you must bag your items. You can use one of the used empty boxes to take your purchase to your vehicle if they are still available. The store is well laid out with enough room to pass other shoppers. The fruit and vegetables are fresh and well-colored. The apples are firm and juicy. They have a good selection of bread, too. The meats have good color and look fresh. I am disappointed there's not more German food and snacks. The food and snacks I tried were very good. They have a great apple cake, gelato, and many other items in the freezer section. There's a good variety of foods, sweets, and frozen treats. You can also find a variety of crock pots, folding chairs, and other odd items. Only 1 checkout was open when we were in line. As the line grew, another lane was opened. We didn’t have to wait long to check out. The store personnel are friendly and helpful when...
Read more2nd time in Aldi and experience was sub par to say the least, I understand there's lots going on in the world but If basic operating standards can not be met then maybe it's not a good idea to have the doors open?? Now I will say prices are very appealing vs other grocery chains but when I got home and open up items I understood why they were. Produce section was unpleassnt, unorganized, and dirty. Though some soft chewy cookies would be a simple buy but whole row was missing when opened them up. 🤦The CHICKEN was slimy as can be to the point I just tossed it cause wasn't worth the risk. As far as bring in your own bags and roller carts, typically a good idea but not being able to verify how sanitary they are and where they come from, pass on that idea of a food facility while we're are all suppose to having extra space n distancing ourselves. Maybe in the future they will be up to par but for now I will maintain my...
