The worse service ever. Visited this establishment on my lunch break with my boyfriend. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived (only 3 tables at best) yet they took a while to greet us and seat us, we waited patiently. When we are brought to our table we were not even offered drinks he left and came back a while later to get our drink order, then he took another 10-15 minutes to bring 2 sodas just standing around talking to coworkers in our view. He doesn't give us a chance to put in the order either which at this point we ready. He leaves and then comes back to take that. My partners food came out first (that took almost 30 minutes) and he proceeds to tell me that mines is going to be 2 more minutes (I ordered one of the specials which was soup so this was pre-made and advertised at the door, so its not like they had to start it from scratch upon my order). 2 more minutes turned into another 10-15 and im still waiting. Only to find out they brought me the wrong soup at that. Thankfully I was not allergic to the seafood in the soup. At this point i just accepted the situation as I was so pressed for time. By the time I got my food I had to leave as my lunch break was well over (I get an hr and came from 2 minutes away). When I tried to ask for to go containers we couldnt even get his attention, my partner had to physically get up and go up to the hostess stand to ask for them. Containers were imposible to serve in and had to wait another 5 minutes just to get something to serve it with which he came back with another Styrofoam container for me to use as a serving spoon. I watched every table get the check brought to them. We had to once again get up and physically walk over to request ours. My partner paid AND tipped! For an enchilada and a bowl of soup we paid 50 bucks, never even got a receipt either. Then had to request to go silverware cause they could not offer it. If this is the kind of service they offer I'll pass. We even watched other tables that came after us get service and food before us. Do not recommend at all, specially to interracial couples, they sent that message very clearly throughout our service that they were not pleased with the type of couple sitting at...
Read moreI have to apologize for not taking pics of the food and drink but the stuff was so good that I dug in immediately and couldn’t stop eating. As I type this from the comfort of my oversized reclining chaise with a belly so full I look like Santa after eating all the cookies, I can’t help to crave more. The lady started with a Tropical Margarita and I went with the Corona Sunrise, let’s just say they don’t cheap out on the liquor. The margarita came out in a cup the size of a fish bowl but it was full of a lot of ice, maybe to help water down the liquor. The Corona Sunrise was typical of what you would expect but be careful pushing the lime in, it was so full that I needed to take a couple sips before jamming the lime into the bottle. As for the food, we went with the Beef Nacho Supreme to start our journey to food coma. A hefty plate came out with a bunch of ground beef and toppings. Some of the nachos were soft enough to fork making it easy to shovel a mouthful at a time.
The lady chose Barría Tacos and I went with the Chimichanga Mezcal but decided to get it over a bed of rice and beans which they were more then willing to customize. The Barría Tacos were better than any we have had before (I stole one from her plate, lol). My meal was huge and put together well, the flavors exploded with every bite.
Food presentation was clean and neat. The restaurant isn’t a classy spot but comfortable. They were so nice that a family walked in with little ones who demanded fast food and they were happy to accommodate. The waitress was humble and sweet and very attentive. The cost of our meals, including three drinks and two sodas was only about $77. I was so please that I tipped our waitress over 50% of the bill so we spent a bit over $100. We are both looking forward to going back and this place could have easily been a five star if the place was a bit more updated and maintained. Appearance aside, this...
Read moreThis is the 2nd time I have been here and both times my order was wrong. This time was major. They have 2 menu items close in name. I ordered the one that sounded more as to what I eat. They brought me the other one which was served on a hot skillet, on top of peppers onions and tomatoes-like a fajita plate. Then one I ordered had the peppers, onion and mushrooms inside the chimi before being fried and was topped with cheese sauce. The one they served me had the items under the fried tortilla, on top of the hot skillet and no cheese dip. She did not charge me the extra 3.00 that the wrong one cost when I questioned it. I did not finish it. It was dry and needed the cheese dip. My son did not want burrito or enchilada sauce and she asked if I wanted the cheese dip, and I said yes. (the other Mexican restaurants put the cheese dip on the burrito/enchilada combo at not charge). Imagine my surprise when she charged xtra for the dip. I am sure that if I had wanted the chimichanga el mezcal I would have enjoyed it but a lot of food went to waste because I did not want tomatoes, onions and bell peppers under my food served on a hot skillet. I wanted what I ordered. The waitress tried to argue they were the same but the descriptions are NOT the same and since there is 3.00 different in price, they are not the same. Service was okay. My husband and son got there food before me, and had they prepared what I had ordered, I probably would not have had to wait for mine. The waitress should have told me the no longer served what I ordered and this review would be better. I would have ordered something else. It still would not be a 5 because of the failure to disclose about the cheese dip, but at least might have gotten something that I wanted to eat. The chips and salsa, and...
