WARNING! This hotel has a SERIOUS problem with their hot water system, the hot water supply was not stable at all during our stay. We turned on the hot water and let it run about 20 mins but no hot water at all, the water was just a bit warmer than the cold water which we absolutely couldn't use it for shower, so I called the front desk and the lady told us some of the rooms have cold and hot water controls installed adversely, she didn't know which rooms were those and asked us to turn on the cold one and gave it try (seriously? isn't that a big defect from construction then?), I told her that this couldn't be the issue for our room since the water was "warm" but just not hot so she offered to switch a room for us. After waiting about 20 mins with nobody coming upstairs to give us the new key, we decided to give it another shot and we started to have hot water, I thought the issue was fixed so told the lady we would just stay where we were. One of my companies took a shower, but after she's done, the hot water completely gone. So we ended up having to change to another room, however, the new room still had the same issue, the front desk lady told us the owner fixed sth and made sure every rooms have hot water, and asked us to let the water keep running for a while, we did so, after about nearly 30 mins wait, the hot water finally came, but same as the old room, it only lasted about 10-20mins and completely gone again. We talked to a few other customers that night and it seemed they all had the same issue. There was apparently a serious problem with their hot water system, I told the front desk lady all about this the other day when we checked out, she said the hotel had only been open for about 6 weeks, they were aware of this issue and are working on it. If they are aware of this issue and know it hasn't been fixed, why did they keep selling rooms after that? I booked my room just a couple of days ago. Tbh I don't even know how it possibly passed the quality control process before opening right before Thanksgiving when it's winter time/vacation time and hot water is absolutely mandatory. Besides this serious problem, the breakfast provided was also not good, the variety was very limited and the supply was also not prompt and sufficient. I'm very dissatisfied with this stay and won't pick this hotel or possibly any other hotels under Best...
Read moreMy husband and I travel to visit our daughter who resides in Pooler. Everything at this hotel appears to be good. Strong emphasis on appears to be. We originally stopped by to make a reservation after calling early that morning and speaking with Crisitne. We asked the lady on the front desk when we arrived if she was the same person we spoke with over the phone that morning. She said, "yep that’s me!". Our fourth trip down raised a definite concern for us. On four separate visits we have observed this particular individual who checked us in was the same individual when getting off the elevator saying good morning to us the very next day. Did the young lady even sleep? How is it that the manager or even an additional staff member is not there helping when it was clearly needed? In our opinion this is an unprofessional business practice. I can see that the front desk lady was super helpful, but how can this keep going on for what looks like months on end? Is corporate aware? My curiosity abounds. As I mentioned above, strong emphasis on appears to be. The building looks new and shiny, but the elevator hasn't been operational during our last three out of the four visits in the past seven months. Every single time we booked a room we had to be moved from our original room from finding things unsatisfactory or in very poor repair which is odd for it to be a new establishment. I answered a survey at one point which was met with a "give us another opportunity" response from the manager. We will respectfully NOT be returning again. It's giving: what else are they sweeping under the rug...
Read moreStayed on Christmas Day traveling through. The rooms are not bad the bathroom was nice. Good location close to interstate with food options around. Good price for the night. it has been recently updated but definitely had a cheap feel to the room with the vinyl flooring that feels weird and hollow sounding under your feet you can also see all the wheel marks from the previous persons before us from pulling their luggage I assume. The contractors who did the work were not very good at their job as evident by all the cracked drywall in the room we were in and the gaps in the door that let light in from the hallway. The blue light as you pull up at night as mentioned by another reviewer is definitely annoying also if not dangerous. The biggest issue though was the noise. The walls are not very soundproof at all and there was a large group of people that kept going in and out of each other’s rooms and I could hear the sound of the keycard activating the door lock and the door opening and closing each time. It was non stop for a while I should have kept count but it was a lot. Not to mention the young girl that kept saying FBI open up each time she entered the next room. Also could hear people from the other rooms around moving and even using the bathroom. So if you are a light sleeper you may want to look for other options as my wife and I didn’t sleep well at all...
