The biggest draw to this diner is their interior decor. The exterior doesn’t look like much and honestly, we thought about finding another place to eat when we pulled up to the parking lot. But the interior decoration had a lot of character. They have many license plates hanging from the ceiling, donated by visitors over the years. An impressive collection that covers all 50 states and a couple of countries. They also have various currencies and a train that periodically goes through the top of the walls. They definitely have some of the most interesting decor of any diners I’ve been to. The food itself didn’t have anything special. Most items were cooked well but the ingredients were pretty basic with very minimal spice. We were surprised that we ended up paying more here than at black bear diner given that we got way more food there and the food was better there as well. Value for the money didn’t quite seem to be there which is why it’s getting a lower rating for me. The service and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would come back for the decor and service but maybe not the food.

Visiting in town from Vancouver, Washington. We like to eat at local establishments rather than the big chain restaurants. We drove by Shirley's in the morning, the parking lot was packed. They share the parking lot with a pizza place and it did not open for several hours, so we knew we were at the right place. We were welcomed in by a friendly staff and were seated right away. The chicken fried steak with hash browns and gravy were my go to, and it did not disappoint. My wife got the Shirley's breakfast burrito, daughter got the strawberry Belgian waffle and son finished out the order with bacon and eggs. All of our meals were cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. The interior decor adds a nice touch and brought back some memories of the past when we would point out to our kids "Wow, we had that in our house growing up". We will add Shirley's to our list the next time we return.

The reviews and funky décor pulled us in, but the food and service will have us coming back. Everyone was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The vibe is old-school, with fun decorations from past eras that give it a ton of character. I went with a tuna sandwich—simple, right? But the way it was made showed the cook really cares. The bread was perfectly toasted, just the right crunch, and the tuna salad was flavorful and balanced with the tomato. I also tried the cheesy enchilada soup, which hit the spot and tied the whole meal together. For a place with a straightforward menu, they nail it. If you’re in Port Angeles, definitely worth stopping in and trying it out!

So, it's Saturday morning and I understand that it's busy! But, you aren't on DoorDash anymore so the only option you give your customers is to come there. So, I am a single mom of a toddler and we get there and take a seat to order an order to go. We order our food, and was told it's be a half an hour. Then a couple comes in to eat, and the waitress comes over and says that I would be expected to stand with an active toddler because there was a line of people waiting. That was not true!! There was ONE couple waiting at the door. How do I know because we walked out that door and there was no line of people! The waitress, when I had ask her incredulously if she truly expected me to stand with a toddler, said in a very mean voice, "FINE I guess I'll just have paying customers wait for a table". We were paying customers too! And we were there first. It's pretty normal to have to wait for a table when it is busy! I used to eat at Shirleys because they do have amazing food all the time with DoorDash but, because of their awful customer service, I will never be back! And I will make sure everyone hears how you treated my daughter and I! I am only leaving one star because otherwise I can't post this. Awful people!!...

My family and I were visiting from Tacoma, WA looking for a breakfast spot to eat in Port Angeles and we came across Shirley's Cafe. When my family and I walked in, we automatically didn't feel welcomed by the servers. One of them with a tattoo sleeve actually gave us a dirty look and avoided our table at all costs. They told us to "sit wherever we'd like" but there wasn't a table big enough for seven. The only table that was available for seven had a two top on it.... so of course, they had to push tables together and two of us had to sit separately from the rest of our family. The whole restaurant looked like a dump. Everything is brown and not welcoming at all. Random toy train that goes through the restaurant as well that doesn't match up with a theme at all. The restaurant looks like it belongs on Kitchen Nightmares. Aside from wretched interior and servers having side conversations about our party, the food matched just the same. Overpriced and underwhelming. Their food is definitely frozen. My family and I were charged $107 for food that I could microwave at home. If you have money to waste, I still wouldn't come here. I wish I could give no stars but Google...

We were visiting Port Angeles for a quick getaway and this was our breakfast spot! It turned out to be a great experience! This time it was food and more than that the cafe decor, the warmth of Shirley, Bobby and her team!

The decor in the cafe is so cool, with car plates hanging at celing, a train track all over the cafe, collectible cars, exclusive item, football/ baseball helmets, a section of wall with bills( money) from all over the world and much more! We met Shirley and her sister Bobby running the cafe with her associates, they make a great team, everything was running smooth especially when they were absolutely full, greeting all the people coming in and being polite with everyone. Shirley was very active and making sure to interact with everyone with warmth! The food is great, and portion size is good!

We were very impressed with them greeting everyone with their first name as they must be regulars and seemed like a close knit community! The restrooms- absolutely clean(never seen such clean restrooms!) Sharing some pictures of cafe and strongly recommend her to anyone visiting the town give...
