So, it's Saturday morning and I understand that it's busy! But, you aren't on DoorDash anymore so the only option you give your customers is to come there. So, I am a single mom of a toddler and we get there and take a seat to order an order to go. We order our food, and was told it's be a half an hour. Then a couple comes in to eat, and the waitress comes over and says that I would be expected to stand with an active toddler because there was a line of people waiting. That was not true!! There was ONE couple waiting at the door. How do I know because we walked out that door and there was no line of people! The waitress, when I had ask her incredulously if she truly expected me to stand with a toddler, said in a very mean voice, "FINE I guess I'll just have paying customers wait for a table". We were paying customers too! And we were there first. It's pretty normal to have to wait for a table when it is busy! I used to eat at Shirleys because they do have amazing food all the time with DoorDash but, because of their awful customer service, I will never be back! And I will make sure everyone hears how you treated my daughter and I! I am only leaving one star because otherwise I can't post this. Awful people!!...
Read moreMy family and I were visiting from Tacoma, WA looking for a breakfast spot to eat in Port Angeles and we came across Shirley's Cafe. When my family and I walked in, we automatically didn't feel welcomed by the servers. One of them with a tattoo sleeve actually gave us a dirty look and avoided our table at all costs. They told us to "sit wherever we'd like" but there wasn't a table big enough for seven. The only table that was available for seven had a two top on it.... so of course, they had to push tables together and two of us had to sit separately from the rest of our family. The whole restaurant looked like a dump. Everything is brown and not welcoming at all. Random toy train that goes through the restaurant as well that doesn't match up with a theme at all. The restaurant looks like it belongs on Kitchen Nightmares. Aside from wretched interior and servers having side conversations about our party, the food matched just the same. Overpriced and underwhelming. Their food is definitely frozen. My family and I were charged $107 for food that I could microwave at home. If you have money to waste, I still wouldn't come here. I wish I could give no stars but Google...
Read moreWe were visiting Port Angeles for a quick getaway and this was our breakfast spot! It turned out to be a great experience! This time it was food and more than that the cafe decor, the warmth of Shirley, Bobby and her team!
The decor in the cafe is so cool, with car plates hanging at celing, a train track all over the cafe, collectible cars, exclusive item, football/ baseball helmets, a section of wall with bills( money) from all over the world and much more! We met Shirley and her sister Bobby running the cafe with her associates, they make a great team, everything was running smooth especially when they were absolutely full, greeting all the people coming in and being polite with everyone. Shirley was very active and making sure to interact with everyone with warmth! The food is great, and portion size is good!
We were very impressed with them greeting everyone with their first name as they must be regulars and seemed like a close knit community! The restrooms- absolutely clean(never seen such clean restrooms!) Sharing some pictures of cafe and strongly recommend her to anyone visiting the town give...
