Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Port Arthur

UPDATE 9/20/23: WAITED 34 MINUTES FOR 2 DRINKS... and was still charged for them with NO APOLOGY for the wait or for wrong order!! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS LOCATION?? Workers looked tired and like they didn't want to be bothered. Bad day. One star customer service. IDK what happened but service THIS TIME... was DESPICABLE! I ordered a coney all the way (mayo, mustard, ketchup, onion, jalapenos-my usual) the condiments were everywhere and when I inquired about napkins and mint, the little girl came out and said "we wrap them up and put it in with the coney and I know they did it because I watched 'em do it"... she was right and I was wrong, but there was no need for her tone. When I pulled the napkin out of the packaging, it was dirty from the condiments. I hate that I had to change my five star rating to a two start, but this was highly unacceptable and what made me unapologetic for the change was the car hop's behavior as if I had offended her. Service just was not hardly as friendly as it usually is and I hope that Mr. David sees this. DEFINITELY I HAD TO PUT THIS PHOTO UP! Uugghh! My food has never looked like someone puked on it! It was about 11:00 pm when we came through. Never having ordered from Sonic, we pulled into a stall. The young man asked us to pull through the drive-through. I was initially irritated by this, but after some thinking, I realized this is likely so carhops are not targets are nefariously shady people at night. I obviously do not know if this is the reason, but if so....good job Sonic!

Even though another customer was in front of us in the drive-through waiting for their order, we got through the ordering process quickly. We made sure our order was correct and it was despite being a customized order that is usually not correct in some way, but these guys got it right the first time!

When we got to our hotel and settled in to eat, I expected a standard 11 pm order...a not so fresh rubbery coney dog but that was furthest from the case. It was absolutely delicious and surprisingly fresh....no no rubber texture at all. They even conveniently gave me relish and mustard on the side as we requested. My husband's burger was hot, fresh, and delicious!

Usually I have a great experience but today I actually got more than just a drink and ordered a meal. On my burger I specifically asked for No pickles and no mustard. I reiterated two more times no mustard. The cashier asked if I wanted mustard and catch up on my burger and I again said no mayonnaise only. So you can imagine my disappointment when I get home with my order and there is mustard all over my burger. Not only can I not give them the opportunity to correct this being as I now have to work myself, I’m also stuck with out my dinner because I cannot eat mustard. 😢

7/31/19 Round 2. I’m sadly disappointed that I cannot order a burger at this location. Again I asked several time no mustard and no pickles. I literally got just bun, patty, mayo and 5 pickles that I specifically asked not to be on my burger! I will not be visiting this location again. Maybe The staff in Nederland or Port Neches will have better listening skills. Once again, stuck with a dinner...
