Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Port Arthur

Kudos to the 2 workers that ran this place today!! They smiled, were kind and patient! We are from Florida and were excited to try out a new place. This Jack in the Box seems to be in great location, however they could use some help!! The speaker is broken, so people have to go to the window to place an order, pay, and then drive around to a parking spot to wait for the food (this could be a long wait). They were out of fries due to the Christmas rush and only had onion rings, but they were fresh and crispy (manager was out getting fries). Chicken tenders were fresh, crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. Burgers were juicy and good. The drinks were on point, as they use a Freestyle (not available at other fast food places where we come from). We came by on Christmas day and ordered the tiny tacos with our burger and loved them! I have never had worse service at a Jack in the Box location. I have made multiple trips to this location and every time I go, I’m made to sit at the window waiting, no acknowledgement, the staff usually has a poor attitude. The last 3 times I have gone, I have asked for a shake and was told the shake machine is down. Having at least SOME standards for myself, I don’t visit McDonalds. But everyone knows their shake machine is always “down”. After 3 times I was feeling like this was McDonalds and asked what time they shut the machine down and was told at 6pm! Who shuts the shake machine down in the middle of the dinner rush? That is just asinine. I had to repeat my order because I could clearly hear the cashier was having a personal conversation. I was left waiting in the window for almost 5 minutes. My drink that I ordered and the cashier confirmed with NO ice was given to me with, you guessed it, almost a full cup of ice. I don’t usually write reviews on anything, but this one is a long time coming, I have not had 1 positive visit to this fast food restaurant in over 10 years, I don’t understand how they stay in business, drive thru is always 20 to 30 mins with only 2 cars, they are consistently out of something every time you go, and when they are out they still want to charge you full price for the items they are missing, and on top of that they always screw up the order somehow, whether it be missing items or missing ingredients on food, and that’s every single visit, I understand things happen, whether staff or management, but I don’t understand how something can be ran so horribly consistently, I thought the new one they built by heb would be better but it’s just as bad if not worse, jack in the box down here gives the whole franchise a bad name, they either need to change management or just sell and let a better fast food...
