This place is actually a cesspool. I ordered through the app and did curbside pick up. When they brought the order, my drink didn’t have any ice in it and the employee who wears sunglasses behind their head and has lightning bolt tattoo on their neck told me that they ran out of ice and that there’s nothing she or he could do. I find it hard to believe but I asked nicely if they could please bring me a coke with ice , and then she/he refused again. I went inside to talk to manager and low and behind I could see the ice machine working. I also asked for the name of employee and or manager and they said they couldn’t give out the names due to safety of employees, then I realized that they were wearing name tags, except the one that refused to bring my drink with ice. It’s a total circus how they are, I can’t fathom what makes an employee(s) act so unprofessional, it’s mind boggling. The manager then never came out, basically avoiding to speak to me. Another employee there said that this is the way it’s ran there, just total chaos and disregard for customer satisfaction. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. Read moreI arrived in Port Isabel late one evening from Utah, the wife and I were hungry so we figured we'd see what all the rage was about whataburger. Was not impressed in the least. When I walked in I waved at whom I assume was the night manager he waved back, then immediately walked and hid behind a wall. The lack of professionalism this gentleman exuded was astonishing. I've ran and managed a few of the Jiffylubes in my area, I have never hid from my customers or the work the position includes. After that he couldn't get any of his staff to come take my order for approximately 5 minutes nor did he try to take my order. Two things wrong here. We train our employees that we have 10 seconds from seeing the customer to greeting them and finding what it is they need. Secondly if your staff is too busy then it should fall on the manager to give some back up and assist his or her staff. The young gentleman that finally helped me did great. I think he's the newest one there based on his knowledge of the goods sold in your store. Get a new night manager that has a voice and backbone enough to control his crew. Gonna need some burn cream for that one bud. Oh and the food was not great. But that probably stems from everything else...
Read moreMy went into the restroom before placing my order, the sinks had hairs all over. I got out and placed an order over the drive thru. It was a very long wait. I received my order with toppings that I specifically asked not to be added. The chicken was burnt. I had to ask the guy for my receipt twice. I he didn’t even give me a cup holder till I asked for it. I called and spoke to Jose “the manager”. I explained that I drove 30 mins from and to their location. I asked for a refund and he said he had to see the burger. I offered to text him a picture or that he could face time me. He didn’t want to do either. He kept saying “I’m taking my time to hear you out ma’am I want to help you” yet he kept talking over me the whole time and didn’t seem to understand that I was 30 mins away. Horrible horrible! Worst customer service ever!! This is the chicken after I tried so much to remove the burnt skin. I gave up and left it like that. Here is your physical evidence Jose!
