This Clinic is a 5 star clinic. I'll tell you why: My dog was bitten on the ear by a stray who wondered up to our home looking for a free meal. Within days, my dog's ear was swollen and it burst. It produced a putrid, rotten odor that smelled like death, old banana peels with a touch of cabbage stank. Super rowdy scent. We knew he needed to be seen by our vet.. who didn't have any availability. I called this vet and explained the situation. They told us to come in immediately and determined he would need surgery. They provided the utmost care and attention to my dog from the moment we walked in(answering each question as I asked). My dog is really skittish and has separation anxiety(a rescue). The staff was friendly and started building a relationship with him. The vet was very straight forward and spoke plainly, I appreciate that. My dog has never been alone, when they identified that they needed me to come assist to keep him calm, they called and text me. I showed up and we went straight to my dog. Their patience was unparalleled. The attitude was "let's make sure your pet is properly cared for" not "let's get on with the show"
Added bonus, they kept me informed. I went to pick up my big, woozy, scaredy dog and took him home. He is healing nicely and isn't in any pain. Techs are awesome, Doc is awesome. I highly recommend. Thanks guy!
TLDR: these guys are on top of stuff and took care of my anxious, 90lb scared dog....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am on the road and have been for a while, currently driving through South Texas. Looking at the map and reading online reviews of campgrounds it seems weāre headed toward more bothersome mosquito country and like an eejit, I left Bootsieās heartworm preventative at home. Since she was due for an annual checkup I went online to find decent vet nearby. Turns out he was just up the road at the Calhoun County Animal Hospital. I actually just walked in to inquire about a test for Boots and was asked if she was with me (she was) and told me to come on in. 30 minutes later, she got her test (negative), a bunch of doggie treats, ear scratches and head rubs and I got a bill for $143. 53, most of which was for the medication, just 30 bucks for the test and no charge for the visit. The vet and staff were great and Bootsie got out of there with little to no trauma. I can't recommend this veterinary office highly enough. I may even come back for next...
