I have been to this Popeyes location 7x within the last couple months. I am a doordash driver. I was only able to get in and out quickly 1x. The other 6x i waited between 20 and 40 minutes for my delivery order. The service is sooooo bad. Every time I have been there, other people who are ordering and picking up food have been standing there even longer than me. On 2 of my 7 experiences, other customers have asked for their money back because of the extreme wait time. The evening manager isn't a manager at all. He walks around in circles, and doesn't seem to accomplish anything. He also doesn't manage the employees. This facility is, by far, the worst business i have ever gone into for a doordash pick up. I have done thousands of deliveries and yes, occasionally i might have to wait a few minutes for an order to be done, but this place tops them all. Keep in mind, I am working, and this is how I make a living. So, if i am getting paid $6 to deliver this food and it takes 40 minutes to get the food and 10 minutes to drop off, i am essentially making $6 per hour. I have also requested to speak with the evening manager. Although, he was polite, he has made ZERO effort to improve the efficiency of himself and his staff. By the looks of the response to other reviews, they obviously don't care because every response is a cut and paste, canned response. This is absolutely shameful. I don't know how they are still...
Read moreGreat experience last night, all things considered - it is after all still fast food.
The lobby was clean and the young guy running both the register AND drive through was earning his paycheck. We later saw him emptying every trash in the building while still wearing the drive through headset. I haven’t seen a fast food employee hustle like this in 20+ years.
There were a few things to improve upon - the bathroom could use a deep cleaning, there were no napkins available in the lobby dispenser the entire time we were there, and two employees seemed to be taking their time prepping and putting up posters on the windows when the cashier staff could’ve used some assistance (or even stock the napkins, etc on the lobby).
But the main thing I want to convey with this review is that the service was adequate and the food was pretty decent - which is a stark contrast to the dreadful experience at the Palm Coast store. I don’t know if the same franchisee owns both, but if not - the Palm Coast owner/management needs to get in touch worth the Port Orange team and do some shadowing/training. Absolute night and day - dedicated employees doing their jobs in Port Orange, vs. Pal Coast’s lazy, weed smoking clowns who seem to be trying to put the location out of business (go read the reviews.)
Thank you Port Orange Popeyes for being an example to all other locations in...
Read moreMe & my husband visited the Port Orange location. We both were extremely exhausted after a long road trip from North Carolina. We decided to order a family meal through the app which was supposed to be a 10pc meal, 5 biscuits and 2 large sides. Once we were settled in and decided to eat, they gave us breast & thighs and 1 wing. No legs that was supposed to come with it. To top things off, we ended up throwing everything away because the chicken was old, we can tell by the looks of it. The biscuits were hard that you can knock someone out with them. Now we were only left with the sides in which we decided wouldn’t make sense to eat without the complete meal. I usually check my food before leaving but once again, we were exhausted. Employees were playing around and giggling through the drive thru. We can clearly hear them through the speaker. I called and was told to come in the next day at 4 to get the legs and wings. I advised the gentleman that we would be in Miami around that time and needed to come in sooner. As much as we love Popeyes, this was the worst food ever and I don’t want to eat Popeyes for a long time to come. I’m going to try to visit the location before heading to Miami to see what can be done. $31 just thrown away. Please check your food before leaving or find a better Popeyes to visit. This location...
