Slowly but surely, we are trying every eatery in PSJ since moving down here.

We were a bit skeptical when we saw Cool Breeze Chicken & More post a daily special for breaded tenderloin and fries. My husband and I are both from Indiana, the tenderloin capital of the world. Best of the best tenderloins come from Indiana.

With that being said, we ordered 2 lunch specials one with fries and one with tots. We were told that this special is a smaller version of their regular one.

Got back home and opened the container and was shocked that this was smaller version. Typical of a fried tenderloin, this smaller one, still hung over the bun plenty! Took the first bite and I now am in trouble....We have found a place that we can go to for our tenderloin fix! Crispy, pounded out loin (a little thicker than I'm used to) and tastes great!

The tots were also cooked perfectly, crispy on outside and smooth on inside. French fries could have done a little bit longer in the fryer (according to Husband).

Will definitely head back to this little eatery to try out more of their menu. They nailed it with the...

My husband and I ate there this morning for breakfast. This was some of the worst food I have ever been served. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Just an ordinary breakfast. Hubby ordered a breakfast burrito. Took over 35 minutes to get our order! My eggs were swimming in grease and had black pieces of burnt grease from the grill all over the eggs, the hash browns were a mass of gray mush soaked with grease and my toast was two stale hard pieces of bread. My husbands burrito was disgusting full of grease, eggs greasy and the burrito was old and stale. Hubby ordered coffee and they didn’t have any creamer. Save your money people and find some other place else to eat. The picnic tables were dirty as well as the outside bar with the chairs where you are supposed to sit to eat your food. Nothing gets wiped off or cleaned up. The ground around the bar and tables was full of litter. The window where you place your order was filthy as well as the phone used to scan your credit card. We dumped our food in the...

I have picked up food on 4 different occasions now. Everything I've ordered is awesome!! The breakfast bacon egg and cheese bagel is super good. The livers and fried okra was the best I've ever had, and yesterday before leaving I stopped in the drive thru for good to eat on my ride home. They suggested the chicken bites and I got fries. They were awesome and easy to eat while driving. I've watched the Shack grow over the past year and I am super impressed! The service was great and the view is absolutely amazing. They say yes ma'am and treat you like a local, not like some treat tourists. Almost forgot to mention, the prices are great! Great cook to order, stop in place, to take to go on your way to the beach, or on your way home! I never remember to take pictures of the food, but will next time because there will definitely be a next time!...

Talk about a hidden gem! The Shack has the BEST seafood in Port St. Joe!! We had fried mushrooms with homemade ranch dressing, the fried shrimp with amazing coleslaw and fries, fried chicken strips with fries, and the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everything was outstanding! We were so impressed by the many individual flavors and each of the sauces. We were able to enjoy our dinner outside in a covered tiki hut with tables and chairs and a huge, colorful, tropical mural on the wall, but there were multiple picnic tables outside where people could also eat. The guys working the kitchen were really fun, too. This is our new favorite spot for fried seafood in our favorite vacation spot!

Fried liver n gizzards and fried mushrooms, cooked in old grease could tell just by looking at them, tasted mushy and very salty everything tasted the same. Aldo ordered chicken strips for the kids and way too spicy. Need to have special meals for them that aren’t spicy. Had burger and fries and burger bun was big but meat patty was small. New owners so maybe will fix all the kinks .Possibly will try their food at later date. I know it’s new managers hopefully just getting the kinks out! Use to be great food so will try again
