I went for my birthday dinner of 13 guest today. Upon being seated are drinks or ordered for some who arrived early. Twenty minutes pass by and the drinks still were not bought to the table. When the rest of the guest arrived, they re took our drink order. The two guests that ordered alcohol got their drinks immediately. Followed by all my other guests getting their drinks. I being the birthday girl With two small children had to ask for my drink and my kids drinks three times. The waitress came by and started to take orders for meals. The waitress had to ask me multiple times with my order was. Thirty minutes passed by and the food started to come out. My food, am I kids food got to the table first. But it was cold. Add this point. It was getting close 9 o'clock And I did not want to send my food back to to possibly away another thirty minutes. I asked multiple times for a refill of my drink and was never serviced. But the guest who were ordering alcohol kept getting more drinks. Everyone was finished with their meal and the waitress never returned. My family upset took out my birthday cake and started to sing me. Happy birthday. The waitress came around the corner and saw that it was my birthday and asked if I ever received my french fries for my order along with my three other family members who did not receive french fries. I told the waitress to forget it. Because we had already finished our meal. And now we're having my birthday cake. 5 minutes later, a waitress and the manager came out with French fries and were almost dismissive. And upset that we didn't want the fries any longer. We asked for the check so we can leave. We were there for almost Twenty minutes waiting for the check in a restaurant that was not busy. I went up to the front where I saw several employees heading towards the back, joking and laughing. One employee came back up to the front and asked me if I needed anything. And I said I wanted to speak to the manager. It took the manager five minutes to come to the front to speak with me. I told the Manager that it was my birthday, And that my birthday was real by a terrible meal. And experience. The manager was dismissive again of my complaint, saying she had no idea of what was going on and she would talk to her waitress. I left the restaurant upset and weigh outside for my family. My entire family did not leave a tip due to this terrible service. Am I family was extremely upset. The manager came back after the fact that I Left and said that we should be thankful. She gave us a $2 off our receipt. Because we didn't get their french fries. Outback has completely gone down in service. And I will never be spending another occasion. Or regular dinner out again. Read moreI am writing this review not necessarily to complain but to try and help this restaurant by pointing out some major issues. The food here is excellent as always but the biggest issue holding them back from a 5 star review right now is TAKE OUT! Right now during these times take out should be a priority for any restaurant! Also this is not just the first time I've had a bad experience with take out service.
So the first problem is that there are not enough dedicated parking spaces for take out. When I pulled in I had to park in the regular dining parking area. It became obvious that myself along with at least 6 other people had this issue because everyone was waiting in line outside the take out door instead of in their vehicles.
The second and probably the most important issue is that take out is always understaffed and disorganized, especially during dinner time! There should be at least one server dedicated to greeting new vehicles and taking payments while the others handle preparing and running the food. I had 3 different servers ask me for my name and food that I ordered, there's obviously a communication issue here.
Another issue is that nobody had a key to the take out door. Every time a server had to re enter he or she had to knock and wait for someone to open the door. This only causes things to slow down more and wastes valuable time!
So I was told that my food would be ready by 6:45, It wasn't until 7:10 that my payment was taken and my food was finally delivered to me shortly after. I think the part that upsets me the most though was that my food was no longer hot. At this point it became obvious that the chef had prepared my food within the time frame I was told but due to poor service my food sat and waited a while before it was picked up and served to me. This is unacceptable!
If you are a manager and are reading this please understand my concern and accept my criticism. I am no expert on restaurants however I love the food here and I intend on coming back sometime in the near future. I ask that you please do whatever you can to improve your take out systems! Read moreNewest review today 12/20/22 This was the worst experience. If you read down below I visited this establishment in January this year. What a difference. The service was slow, we waited 1 hour before we were served our meals. And the appetizers came with the entree's. The waitress was very nice (Chey) but I don't know if she was new and they call themselves breaking her in. She had the entire one side of the restaurant. Which had 5 groups there. We were the 5th table to be seated. We already had waited 1 hour to be served our food, which was hot. But the loaded cheese fries were missing the bacon, note picture below. So they gave me a styrofoam cup of bacon bits to pour over the cheese fries that just rolled off onto the plate. Another problem with this service was every table that left out of this young lady's section, no one bothered to help her bus the tables. The Manager (Dana) and the District Manager (Nicole) we're both there. They stood at the end of the restaurant scoped out that side of the restaurant and left those tables for this young lady to bus herself. They proceeded to gather with 3 other employees and just stand there talking as this young lady cleaned her whole side of the restaurant that was assigned to her I guess. But what happened with co-workers having team work. It was disgusting to watch. The restroom was filthy. I will not visit here again. This restaurant goes on my do not enter list. You'd think with all the restaurants out in the area they'd try to provide excellent customer service. To keep people coming back. It probably doesn't matter to them but I will not be returning.
This was a great outing for my daughter's birthday. We enjoyed everything from the appetizers to our entrees. My daughter and I had the Bloomin Fried Chicken meal and it was superb. Chicken was cooked to perfection and it was a nice size. I hated that I didn't get a pic.
