I dont find any reason for this restaurant to have any other stars other than 5 or more, if only possible. Took the wife here for our 5th anniversary we ordered the ceviche de camarón as an appetizer, tasted stupendous. You get a variety of flavors all at the same time. I have never found a ceviche as good as this one around this area. Truly a wonderful meal to start with. Next we moved on to our main courses which we chose to be the Piña Rellena and the Fried huachinango. To be completely honest I had high hopes for this dish, I do enjoy my good share of seafood. And as expected it is a meal you NEED to try for yourself! Was not disappointed, in fact I was surprised.I was surprised at how beautiful the dish was put together and how well the structure complimented the expected taste. ( I asked for mine to have a bit of a spicy kick to it and the chef was able to successfully keep the dish enjoyable with a bit of spicy. ) Finally the fried huachinango was absolutely delicious. Not overcooked or undercooked, Just right. You are given the option to choose between 3 different cooking styles. The wife chose it to be just fried so we will have to try out the other styles soon...Both meals came out fast and Hot. With every bite you took you could taste the freshness, care and thought that went into the making of the dishes. You cannot complain about the portion size as we had to take several boxes home. We were STUFFED. In all my years of living in Portage this is the first Mexican Restaurant I consider to be excellent in every aspect. Drinks, Atmosphere, and Service. This definitely takes the #1 spot. I truly hope you have the opportunity to try for yourself this Godsent Food. Our server was Maria a spectacular waitress could not have been better.

We had not been here in over 5 years due to subpar service. Disappointed again with the service, but the food was pretty good. Waitress brought out one plate of food while other plated dish came to our table 5 minutes later. Unacceptable! Never checked on us during the meal and had to ask for a drink refill to which she could not remember what kind of the pop it was. Guests (us) ready to leave with no bill in sight and waited for food to take home. Stood up and went to cashier stand to get her attention and be able to leave . The menudo that was take out was good, but the tripe pieces were too big, and some pieces were still attached, to each other not cut well... rookie cook mistakes. Could've used more Hominy. It looks like waitress was more interested in a larger table than a table of 2. Dissatisfied and this happened on a Wednesday early evening.

We had the best waitress (and even though she was pregnant did not stop her from giving excellent service) My bill was about $180 and it was four guests and I gave her a $40 tip. Aguas frescas, food, music was good!!! My dish was great!!! Carne asada (cooked the way I like it, medium and not chewy nor overcooked) with camarones a la diabla with sliced potatoes and grilled onions with guacamole, rice and beans, chulada!!!! A lot of food for your buck. Only one thing, my michelada was not the best but next time I'm in town I'm going to ask if they let me prepare my own and hopefully they will. Definitely recommend everyone to go if you are near Portage 🥰

I went here with a friend and for starters I ordered a pina colada which was not good at all. It had a weird taste to it so I sent it back with the waiter. I ended up getting a strawberry margarita and when I went to drink it there was a long hair across the top of my drink smh. At this point I was ready to go, but again I was there with my friend who suggested the place. She’s been there before and said it was ok, so I tried to be a good sport.

As we were waiting on our food I heard a waiter tell someone else they just ran out of rice and they have fries. I thought to myself like dang, I’m glad we got here before them… about 10 minutes later they bring my friend’s plate with fries. I asked the waiter did they run out of rice? Why didn’t they tell us, they just assumed that we’d be ok with tacos and fries. As we’re talking about this she goes on to tell me that my food had been dropped so they had to remake it. While I’m glad they remade it, at this point I was ready to go elsewhere, but my friend was eating.

A few minutes later this lady comes up to our table asking about my drink that I didn’t like. I thought she was coming to make things right, but this lady (Maria) told me that, “she tasted the drink herself and it was fine, next time don’t order it” she was rude and defensive. We thought she was the manger so we told her our experiences so far and she just walked off, no response whatsoever.

Shortly after she left my food had come and when I asked the waitress about it she said the rude lady (Maria) was the bartender who made my drink. This woman was really upset and took it personal that I didn’t like my drink! She came to confront me about it. I asked for the manager, this was ridiculous. Instead of going to get a manager my waitress told me that he was busy! Like what manager is too busy to attend to their establishment??

Eventually she did go to get her manager who confirmed that he indeed was too busy to come out, but if we wanted to wait he’d be free in about 30 mins. Oh and they had rice now if we’d like some. Worst customer service ever, I’d never visit this...

Just terrible.

This restaurant is like the gaslighting, abusive boyfriend that showers you with gifts in the beginning of the relationship, and then slowly takes away the love he gives and gaslights you into acting crazy.

My fiancee and I went the first time, great experience. Phenomenal service from our ONLY waitress. Great drinks. Food 10/10. We go back again the next week. This time, we site for 20 minutes before putting in our food order. During this time, a gentleman and THREE women came to our table asking if we'd been helped, and then subsequently leaving to go find an answer to a question or taking our drink orders and simply never returning. We finally got our food after I was a margarita deep, so even though I was fuming I said nothing.

This last time, Taco Tuesday again. The hostess looks like she's given up on life. There are two people tending a bar that no one is at. Our waitress came by and asked if we'd been helped yet, we said no and she took our order. Then we waited 5 minutes, no drinks. My fiancee simply got water because their "pop machine was flat." Finally ANOTHER woman came over with my drink and asked my fiancee what she ordered to drink. I watched our original waitress take a dish back to the kitchen, an event that happens pretty frequently I'm assuming.

The place is chaos. No one knows their role, there is no organization, and the guy that works there seems like he knows not a single thing. Not worth the cheap tacos on Tuesday. Go risk getting sick at Mexico Lindo...
