I classify The Great Wall as being acceptable, but on the lower end of oriental buffet quality. There was a reasonable amount of food variation, but the preponderance of main dishes were chicken with very few beef or seafood options. The soup / appetizer selection was a bit below average, and there was a very small sushi section, with sushi that appeared to be obtained from an outside manufacturer rather than made in house. The food quality was mostly fair to good, with very little of it being considered very good to excellent. I like to sample smaller qualities of many dishes so I got a good feel for the entire buffet rather than just a few portions of it. I arrived at the restaurant at about 3:45, so some of the quality may have been affected by the food sitting out for a long time, since there were only a few customers present. It was the salad, fruit, and dessert sections that had the best quality and variety. The service was excellent. I got my drink right away, and my dirty dishes were removed in a very timely fashion. I might stop there again if I'm in the area and need to eat quickly, but there are definitely better buffet options within a reasonable...
Read moreI was a frequent customer at the Great Wall. The food was wonderful and cooked just the way I liked it until last night. I ordered usual items that I normally order like lo mein and beef with mushrooms and let me tell you it was the most gross disgusting awful tasting food I have ever experienced from any Chinese restaurant. The lo mein spaghetti noodles actually Thinner than spaghetti more like a vermicelli white in color flag tasting absolutely disgusting. The beef and mushrooms was sitting in about an inch of greasy oil. The wonton soup smelt like an old dog bone a very old smelling and tasted just foul. Now I called them and I said did you get new owners or something and the young girl says oh yes we did and I proceeded to school her and you better start closing your doors because that was the most God awful food I have ever eaten in my entire life and not only will I never patronize that place again I will get the word out to everyone else to save them from getting sick Like my granddaughter after eating that disgusting foul food. I recommend everyone stay away from the Great Wall it is no longer good they have a recipe...
Read moreEven though C-19 around they are one of the few buffets that are still open for dine in. It's never crowded, even on weekends and they take safety seriously making sure guests wear masks and gloves as they serve. The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh (unlike some others). I would definitely recommend! I have been coming here for years and will continue.
Here it is now 2024, 3 urs since my last post & I am VERY DISAPPOINTED! I brought my 3 year old here for some quick dinner & neither of us finished our food. The shrimp was rubbery, food got cold fast & things just weren't good. The fact that my child didn't even want her food was key! Not only that, the entrance to this restaurant is dirty, bathroom, dirty, glass above tables, Dirty! I explained all of this at the register (not his fault), I didn't NOT pay for my full meal. On top of that, to top it off; the fortune cookies they give you, of course mine was stale! I couldn't even chew it! Would give 0 stars. Serving staff is always nice, but things need to change of they want...
