Portage, IN: Like any initial deal it took about five hours to complete, but I am into the details and takes little more time with me. Customers who come to buy a vehicle un-informed and buy and then spend their time trying to straighten out the deal or live with discussed and bad rap the dealership for their errors. My salesperson was Derrick Davis and was a very good person to deal with. Derrick would answer any and all questions and if he did not know went and got the information for me. The Mitsubishi vehicles are a rare breed in vehicles when it comes to additional options like a remote starter or tinting windows. Since the Mitsubishi manufacture does not offer some options the salesperson knows the right "guy or guys" to get it done and Derrick was definitely has it covered with his years of experience at this same location and brands sold at Castle. I usually have been buying new vehicles from area dealers like Chevrolet, Cadillac and most recent the Honda Clarity Plugin Hybrid about every other year of so. The worse dealerships I have found to deal with and customer service tend to be any GM dealerships that are all privately owned and have the right to refuse to warranty service any vehicle the GM dealership did not sell. Worse the GM customer service will or cannot intervene, crazy right! Of course, there are exceptions in buying the Cadillac with great service and huge price tag of course. Us everyday folks would like to buy in the $20,000 to $30,000 price range. This is exactly the price bracket for the Castle Mitsubishi line-up. Our dealing started in late afternoon and was cloudy day. We took vehicle for a test drive and noticed the vehicle was clean, but it needed better detailing to have the exterior surfaces of the windows and painted surfaces was coated with a caked on grime from setting outside on the dealer's sales lot. This grime is beyond removal properly by most and requires body shop attention to remove with a power buffer and polish/clean paste. This was addressed by Castle Sales and Service staff promptly. The Castle dealership in sales and service is busy all the time and the sales lot is packed full of used and mostly new vehicles waiting to be sold. I would like to pass on a "thank you" to Derrick Davis in sales and in service department to Steve Kiraly and Brad Kovin for support.
P.S. Not sure how often this paperwork snafu occurs, but make certain you check the paperwork for correct vehicle identification number or referred to as the V.I.N. Few months previous my daughter bought a new Mitsubishi Crossover and got a title with wrong VIN and her spouses name was not correct. When my paperwork was being done I insisted the VIN be checked and would you believe the VIN again was wrong. I mean what's the chance, but it did happen. Again, do your due diligence and research, ask questions, check paperwork and get err' done and enjoy your new ride from Castle...

Review:
Well, I can honestly say I had the most pleasant car buying experience here. My sales representative "Wesley" has over 25 years in the car business. Now that is the guy you want helping you by your next car. What I am about to say next might surprise most. Wesley actually picked out my car. I gave him the budget, model a few unique requirements.. he walked me out to my perfect car. I did NOT even get into to it or test drive it. Infact, as he handed me the keys after the sale he said "you know it's stick" again perfect...I know a thing or two about stick.... Wesley even drove it to the house for me!
A shoutout to Tiffany in the finance office for tailoring a very abbreviated closeout. The sales management team (Ricky, thanks for not calling the cops. ).
The service team (Taylor, Sam, Jorge "not george", Phil, Steve) did an awesome job getting a few extras ordered and installed. Shoutout to Hunter the tech engineer intern for dealing with the cargo rack build I am sure it was an a$$ pain
If you are looking for a great product built here in the state, buy it with Team Castle.

Read moreVisited the service department on the 11/30/24 and i must say i have never been treated so poorly by a subaru service department, for the 4yrs dealing with the company.. I came in for air to be added into my tires.. when I pulled in no one came out ro great, or ask how i can be assisted. There was only ine car ahead of me and a girl was waiting in them. There were several employees sitting in the area and not one came out. So I walked in and a young male asked how could he help, I let him know i just needed air in my tires. He asked for my keys and asked me to wait in the waiting area.. we walked in and looked around at the cars. When I came back I saw a guy standing at the air pump and then he walked away. Unsure if he had put the air in i waited for a few mins because I was under the impression when a job is complete they notify the car owner.. No one came out, so I walked over and he says, "oh your car is ready" and i asked, "why didn't you say so?" His response was, "didn't you see him putting the air in your tires." I told him, "No, and you have my keys so how would i have known?" At that point my mother let him know how customer service works. It was very unprofessional, as far as the standards I have received from other dealerships, i wish i caught the name of the person. Next time I need anything I'll just take the drive to the Merrillville/Scherriville location. Where they are always kind and...
