Lee's Burgers and Malts — Restaurant in Portage

Ordered from this establishment twice. The first time was great. Which made us want to order from them again. So the second time we ordered we did an online order so we didn’t have to wait for our food. Well, that didn’t pan out. I was there over an hour, waiting for my food, watching people come in and order food, and walk out the door. With their food! I ordered my food online and was told online that my food would be ready in 10 minutes. Now I don’t have an issue waiting for 5-10 extra minutes because good places are usually busy. But to have to wait over an hour, is ridiculous and our meal was just thrown together, when they realized they didn’t make our order …. and when I complained, I was offered a free six dollar meal. When I spent $45 when I ordered the last time. The place is local to my neighborhood. So the convenience level would’ve been a 10+. However, I do not recommend them. Due to the poor customer service. Great burger & fries and wonderful staff in this cute little place! I was looking on-line for the best burger near me & Lee’s Burgers & Malts popped up. The staff offered a great suggestion when I wasn’t sure I was hungry enough for a double olive burger - order a single cheese burger and add the olives for a small extra charge … perfect for me! I also wasn’t sure about their special sauce since I can’t handle spice, but asked for it on the side and it was flavorful, not spicy-hot. So glad we tried Lee’s Burgers & Malts since the burgers we ordered were comparable in taste to Guy Fieri burgers (which I love) and the generous portion of fries and a can of pop are included. They offer more than a great burger & fries, as well as monthly specials so we are excited to go back this month and try the grilled pineapple bbq pulled pork and the pina colada malt. All the good reviews have got to be friends and family because this is bad, really, really bad. Sorry but I gotta be frank, some people just should not be in the restaurant business. Food is gross to look at and unfortunately tastes even worse than it looks. Cafeteria style buns with overcooked, greasy meat and cheese that looks like government cheese. I can not think of one place that currently sells burgers that is not MUCH better than here. The milkshakes have so much sugar syrup poured in them that they are not drinkable and the ribs have a sour tasting sauce on them. Like I said, some people are just in the wrong business. Don't say I didnt warn you if you dare to try and I wish I did not have to write this review but my wife and I just threw out about $40 worth of food. I am not even feeding my...
