45th Parallel Wines — Restaurant in Portland

45th Parallel Wines is a lovely little spot with potential and a lot of room for growth. First, a complaint because it's the first thing you notice: this place needs some signage. I drove by it twice before realizing where it is. The service: the owner was working the bar when we were there. He's an incredible knowledgeable gentleman who clearly takes pride in his connections with local small wine makers. I tried a red blend from one such "winery", and maybe it's just because it's been a while since I've had a good glass of wine, but it was EXCELLENT. There is also a cooler and stand with fine cheeses and cured meats, for when you just have to have a charcuterie plate (I believe you can have it there as well as carry it out). My only other complaint is that I wish the beer selection was a bit more robust; then again, this place is focused on wine so I wasn't too...

My favorite wine bar in Portland! Every time I go, I have an amazing experience. The wines they offer are thoughtfully selected from across the globe.
