Dimo's Italian Specialties — Restaurant in Portland

This was such a fantastic experience! We didn’t realize it was only Day 2 of the new restaurant part, but this place was special right away. The staff are kind, the space is cozy, and it smelled like good food. I love the family style option, and every single course was delicious. The portions were SLIGHTLY too big for my mom and I, but I wouldn’t have minded if I could’ve taken the leftovers (was heading to the airport). The mozzarella was fresh and warm. The bucatini to die for. Every dish was light. The rainbow trout is unique and crispy. It was an all-around amazing meal. And honestly, really well-priced for the quality...

Finally some knock out sandwiches and atmosphere!! The sesame bread on the broccoli rabe sandwich was fresh, soft, crunchy and perfect. They offer many of their sandwiches vegetarian by subbing eggplant 💜 and the grinders are big enough to split. I moved here from NYC, and this place is reminiscent of a legit Bronx little Italy resturant/deli with the retail section and counter slices. I was very impressed with the cocktail menu and I think the quality and selection goes toe-to-toe with Portland's top charming cocktail spots like Lucky Horseshoe, Comala, and Too Soon - but with delicious big sandiches?! Welcome addition...

I was disappointed in our dinner. My partners ravioli tasted undercooked. They did comp that meal, although we didn't ask and that was appreciated. I couldn't taste any pepper in my cacio de pepe. The bread, though,was phenomenal.

It's kind of difficult to have a nice meal with your partner when you're seated at a table that is so small, you can't even have your water bottle on it. I'd recommend that if they want folks to consider the five course option they seat them at a table that allows for a leisurely meal rather than a tiny table meant...
