This was my first time in Portland and I had heard about the phenomenal food truck culture in the city. This one was my absolute favorite of them all!
Kafta house is a “Mom & Pop” owned food truck offering middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine. The owners are very warm people and treat their customers like family who have come over for dinner.
I had the lamb gyros with fries. The lamb meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned tastefully, as were the fries. I’ve eaten many gyros in my life, but have to say this one was my favorite.

The food is fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. Great food, friendly owner and staff, and hygiene is held to the highest standards. My wife is allergic to sesame (which is a key ingredient in hummus and tahini), so I told the staff about that and they all stood there making sure we get our order allergen-free. Very nice people from the owner to the chef, to the young American guy working with them. I hope them...
