We came here for a late dinner in a Thursday in August while vacationing in the area. It was close to the hotel we were staying at so the location was convenient.
We sat at the bar. The bartender greeted us and provided menus. We had a couple drinks and ordered chips and salsa and a quesadilla with chicken to share.
The food came out quickly. I looked a the quesadilla and wasnât sure that it had chicken in it so I opened a piece up and it didnât so we got the bartenderâs attention and he was very apologetic and offered to let us keep that one while a new one was remade but we werenât hungry enough to eat two and we didnât want to take one to go so he took that one away. He brought a new one out to us and I will say the flavor was good. There was a lot of black beans in it, which I do like but my man does not, however there really wasnât too much chicken. They added some but it was a small amount of small pieces. We ate it.
I donât know how my stars will translate to a rating but I gave 3 for the food - what we had was just appetizers but typical bar food - and 4 for the service and atmosphere because the bartender was friendly and we did enjoy the atmosphere. Itâs very much a sports bar so it was laidback and casual on a Thursday night - lots of TVs to watch games.
Prices were good. Not sure on parking since we walked but Iâm pretty sure itâs...

If you are not a white, cis, het man or in a group with that majority, you will be discriminated against. There was not a single black person there, which shouldâve tipped me off. And there werenât any groups of non-cis men.
My friends and I sat down & were immediately ignored by the bartender. After 15min, we didnât even get the waters we asked for. They were busy, so we shrugged it off. I asked a server to change one of the 3 TVs near us playing the same game. The manager came over with a remote, so I asked curiously if it was possible bc I was eager to watch my Alma mater play. He proceeded to condescend to me (explaining how TVs work) and as he walked away put up his hands in front of me and said, âJust let me do my job.â Our group (of 6 women) was quiet and at no point was rude, demanding nor outwardly upset - though we shouldâve been.
This was 20min after we sat down and the bartender finally came over to get our orders. I calmly mentioned that the manager was quite rude. The bartender said, âWell youâre welcome to tell him that bc Iâm not going to.â Then, unprompted, he said,â If you donât like it you can leave.â So we did.
Donât comment unless you have something constructive or kind to add. Curious to see if management responds considerately...
Read moreJust flew into town and wanted a great spot to watch opening football season...sat at the bar, male bartender served me a drink, handed me a menu and never asked or acknowledged me again, I shouldn't say that, we walked by my empty glass 5 times, looked at it, and couldn't walk away fast enough. Basically sat there for 45min with an empty glass poised perfectly at the edge of the bar to be claimed for a refill. Finally the female bartender saw my empty glass, (by this time there was only 2:17 left in the 4th quarter) asked if I wanted another, but by then I was over it and the fact I was starving, so I paid for my only drink and left to find a much friendlier place that wanted to make money off of my many drinks and food. I'm a great tipper too. If my staff treated customers this way, they'd not have a job. But the best part of PDX, there is so many bars to choose from, you can always...
