The service is strictly for the people when I was trying to order (they get 3 stars) and the website (which would have gotten 1). All other people were the next day were 5 stars.
So my sister got me a gift card. I tried everything to get it to work on the website no go. And the person at the cashier could not get it to work when I went in person. It did work eventually when they took 2.50 off of it to "test it" so I ended up with a slice by the end of it but my bigger order went all on my card (because the gift card was only $40). I could really only afford pizza if I got it using the gift card. I was getting annoyed and the person at the cashier was (at least to me) looking exasperated I was still there after I had let other people go first (since we were having trouble and there was a line forming), so I didn't try to get it fixed because they looked annoyed I was still there. And I needed to be at a play that same night. But I still have it on my debit card and not the gift card. I also didn't get it fixed the next day because I thought about it on my way over to pick up and started getting annoyed at both me and the cashier because neither of us thought to cancel the order and try again and I didn't want to take out misdirected anger (or any anger at all) on anyone whether they were involved or not. So, I let it go. I think from now on I will try to just use up the gift card and not come back. And I will tell my sister to not send me another.
Also, my order was late. Instead of the pickup time, if printed out to start at the time I wanted to pick up so I had to wait another 20-25 minutes for the order.
Edit: I also was very hungry when I wrote this initially (the one pizza is supposed to last me from Saturday through Tuesday because budget reasons), and I should have asked them to cancel the order so I could try again on that Saturday but I didn't (because I had worked myself up, because of hangry).
Changed food for 5 to 4 because the cinnamon knots are actually not that cinnamony. I had to throw some of my own on there and some powdered sugar for them to be edible. Initially they tasted like bland cooked dough with a sprinkle of cinnamon on them.
Garlic knots were great cold though. I was pleasantly surprised.
Update: Card still does not work. It should have 37.50 left on it but it would not let...
Read moreI went to sizzle pie for the first time about a month ago and had, quite frankly, abysmal service from the cashier with curly hair and a double nose piercing. I emailed the company and received no response.
On the line in, we read about receiving free knots after signing up for loyalty points. We scanned the QR code which took us to the sizzle pie website. We were instructed by the FAQs to inquire at the front to sign up. Excited at the prospect of good pizza and free knots, we asked the cashier. She responded with confusion and general hostility. Then she said she didn’t know and that you have to download the app. We asked if anyone else knew the process and she asked the guy directly behind her who was confused by the mention of an app. When we searched the App Store, we couldn’t find an app.
We recommended that if the way to sign up is to download an app, that the poster should get an updated QR code. The cashier gave us a sarcastic thumbs up and smiled patronizingly before saying our total and trying to push us to move on.
Having worked in customer service, we are aware of the confusion that can come from unexpected customer interactions, especially during a rush. We have, however, never responded to a customer so rudely.
Sizzle Pie, please change your marketing for the free knots and please consider educating your staff on any promotions you plan on running.
I will likely never return to sizzle pie because of the absolutely horrible way we were treated and, if the service is allowed to be that bad for others, I am sure they will continue to lose...
Read moreThey have awesome pizza! Very worth it. But totally lack in there customer service. The people who work there have a sort of entitlement that’s unfriendly. I recommend going in person. If you call and ask for prices or services they are rude and unhelpful. Can’t even give you a price of a pizza. They tell you to go online and look, rude tone and irritating manner when asking any questions at all. Tried to order a few times and always decide not too just because the people I talk too are very off putting. If you go in person it’s a lot better. Still not the friendliest staff and a cold environment but better in person than on the phone. Pizza there sells itself but if the people were kinder I would be spending more money there for sure. Love the pizza!!! But service really makes me not want to support them at times. Very unfortunate, hope this is something they can improve on in the future. I have a lot of friends who feel the same way. Being nice goes a long way and will help there already successful business go farther. Keep in mind I am a frequent customer and have been here a handful of times before leaving a review in hopes that I just had a bad experience. I still love the pizza even though I’m not a fan of the service. So if you haven’t tried it I still recommend it! Pizza will have you coming back and the service will make you question why you come back. But the...
