We were visiting Portland for a single night with our dogg Lulu. We were served by an angel on this earth. We didn't write down their name, so we are sorry for not sitting out the name of the person who provided the best customer service experience we have had in years (maybe ever!). They were patient, friendly, excellent at reading us. It was truly a memorable experience!
Also, the ice cream is so damn good. We had a flight and couldn't finish it but somehow wished there was more. We had coffee Oreo, orange creamsicle, pistachio, marionberry cobbler, and peanut butter brittle. We argued the whole way home about our favorites, and neither of us could decide.
Thank you so much. We were talking about a potential move to Portland, and the existence of this magical place makes our decision so much harder!!
P.s. they put a picture of our adorable friend Lulu on the...
Read moreThis place is absolutely delicious!! I cannot believe I didn’t know this place existed! The ice cream flavors are outstanding, unique and tasty! All plant based and gluten free! I cannot eat dairy or gluten, so finding a place that has GF waffle cones and delicious DF ice cream is a rarity! You will not be disappointed. Even if you CAN eat dairy, you will like these flavors, the base is so rich and creamy it’s hard to tell that you are not eating real dairy. Pistachio ice cream is my absolute favorite and I haven’t had it in over 7 years since my dairy issues surfaced, no commercial grocery store carries a DF pistachio ice cream, so I was delighted! It’s a smooth pistachio, I wish it had pistachio bits, but really that’s a preference. Go...
Read moreThis location was within walking distance of our hotel. The night was lovely so we walked from our hotel on Vaughn ST. We didn't realize this was plant based ice cream but we decided to give it a try. Aside from the slight coconut flavor the ice cream base has, the texture and mouth feel is really no different from dairy ice cream. I didn't mind the slight hint of coconut in the ice cream. I had Marionberry Cobbler and it was loaded with berry jam and walnuts. It was delicious. My friend had Salted Peanut Butter Brittle and they said it was very good. I think Kate's Ice Cream is a great alternative to dairy ice cream and worth a try if you've never had non dairy ice cream. I would...
