Approx. 2mo. ago on a late Sunday afternoon, a drive thru employee intentionally withheld my change (coins) until I requested it. He then asked "why?" I again insisted. He then begrudgingly gave me my change. Since then I've returned two more times on different dates/times, ordered different menu items at the drive thru. Different employees, no problems. On Sunday Aug 11th, in the late afternoon I ordered a large Diet Coke ($1.49) at the drive thru and upon pulling up to the window I discovered that same employee who withheld my change a couple of months ago was again working the window. I paid with a dollar and two quarters. I remained stopped at the window & kept my arm extended as a clear indicator I expected my change (1 cent). The employee ignored my gesture & made no effort to return my change. After a few seconds he turned towards me and asked, "you want your change?" I replied "yes". He again asked "why?". I sternly replied, "come on" while open & closing my hand while my arm was still extended. The employee then had the audacity to claim, " I need the money...it all adds up". He then asked why I couldn't just pick up my change from the ground (pointing to coins dropped by previous customers). I insisted & he begrudgingly produced the penny. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! Once I arrived home I came to the realization that this employee was probably making money off of other customers by pocketing customers coins by intentionally withholding their change (coins) unless asked otherwise. The following morning (Mon. Aug. 12th), I called the location & asked to talk to the manager. The girl who answered sounded very young & claimed she was the Asst. Manager. I explained I was calling about a serious incident that occurred with the drive thru employee yesterday afternoon and I thought it would be best that I speak to the manager directly. She hesitated, she seemed confused. She then claimed the manager wasn't there, she thought he ran to the bank & she wasn't sure when he would return. I provided my name & ph. number, and asked for a return call. She assured me she would give him the message. Never received a return call. The following morning (Tues. Aug.13th) I called again. I spoke to another girl who also sounded very young. I explained my reason for my call yesterday & I had not received a return call from the manager. She seemed to struggle for a reason but eventually claimed the manager's very busy, probably prepping for inspections the following day & will give him the message that I called. Again, no return call was received. The following morning (Wed. Aug 14th), I drove to the restaurant to speak to the manager personally. I first spoke with a young Asst. manager who claimed she had spoke with me the day before & suspected my ph. number may have been lost but in mid conversation, introduced me to a guy who claimed to be a "District Manager". She then stepped away. As I tried to explain the chain of events, he seemed distracted & kept looking toward the back of the restaurant. Sometimes he even asked the same questions twice. I insisted the drive thru video & audio be reviewed to confirm the employees outrageous attitude/behavior. The guy asked for my ph. number again. As of today (Aug. 20), I've not received any courtesy followup calls. I'm now wondering if the location is family owned/operated because of the evasiveness & the "runaround" I've received. I'm even questioning the legitimacy of the "District Manager", who he actually was. It's sad the manager doesn't have the guts to return my calls while enabling an out of control employee (THIEF) to continue to STEAL change from unsuspecting customers because as he claimed, "I need the money". Who knows how long he's been doing it, how much money he's made. I'm currently researching location ownership with the intent of identifying and contacting the owner in case the owner is off site. I STRONGLY recommend avoiding this location completely. I WILL NOT return. I'll edit this review as...
Read moreDrive through tonight. It's raining and the speaker you order from doesn't have a cover. Rain is pouring into my window and the order taker tells me to wait. She says "what can I get for you?"
I begin to order, but then she says "can you wait just a second?"
I assume she's talking to the person that drove up to the window, but the rain is still pouring into my window...
She then takes my order and after I say one meal, she asks "Is that all?"
I tell her no, then order for my kids. 2 meals and 2 happy meals with an oreo flurry. I ordered the oreo flurry out of order because my daughter asked for it in the middle of a chicken nugget meal order.
I ask if they have oreo mcflurries because the ice cream machine isn't always working and the lady says yes we have oreo mcflurrys, so I ask to add one to the order.
The lady taking the order realizes we didn't add a drink to the meal so I add a root beer. Rain is still pouring into my window...
The order normally shows on the screen or a total is given... neither happened.
She asks us to pull up to the last window (the pay window is not open)
I pull forward behind a car who was in parking mode instead of just breaking.
Our turn came and I paid. Got everything except the oreo Mcflurry. I asked about it.
The lady at the window says I didn't order one, she knows because she took the order. I reminded her that she repeated the oreo mcflurry when I ordered.
She asked me to drive around so I could order the oreo mcflurry. I said but I already ordered it, why do I need to drive around?
She said there were cars behind me and I need to go around. I put the car in park and stared at her, saying my order is incomplete.
When she saw me put the car in park, she rang me up. I give her my card, she claimed my card was declined. I gave her a second card. (both of my accounts have at least $1200 in them)
She either didn't want to fix her mistake and was trying to think of anything she could to get me to do what SHE wanted. or she skimmed my card and I need to watch for fraudulent charges. Either way, I don't trust this McDonalds anymore.
They let you sit in the rain to order, get your order wrong, then argue with you when you try to get it fixed.
The food was ok... but the customer service...
Read morePoor customer service from the wonderful and ever so bright eyed woman who came to the rescue this morning. Just four minutes past 5am when mcdonalds opens (according to google) we pulled up behind a jeep wrangler. A few minutes passes. No movement, no words exchanged. Not even a breath you could hear. We panicked in fear of dehydration overdose as both my bf and I were slowly turning into zombies. (Sucked in and making noises, not legitimate words. Weak but determined for the liquid to sustain our lives) with less patience then a child in a candy shop, we passed our first lump in the log, Making our way up to the last drive through window. Although I wish I did, It slipped my mind to catch her name from all the glee of getting that liquid of life. At first she was timid. Afraid almost like... right off the bat she hits us with the boss man (computers, etc) wasn't awake yet to bless us the liquid. Then when we informed her where we assumed we could make a purchase at this time, she slide that fingerprint smudged window closed and walked away before I could even finish. How cute huh. A little while later she must have had some liquid courage and made her way back to us. Eager and to the point she wanted to know the flavor of our drink choice.the clear crisp one that bubbles when its fresh. Again no word or confirmation, she walked away. I knew this is the woman who is gonna get the job done. Perfectly executed.. as shes walking back gracefully and so self satisfied of her almost perfect equation solved, I couldnt help but think.....was it McDonalds that wants 15 an hour....? Cause they should give this pleasant soul more then that. She deffinitly deserves it. The moment that condisationed sensation cup gently kissed the phalange tips of my bfs hands, he spurted out with an appreciatiive grand ol' "thank you! She didnt even grace us with a welcome before finally closing tho window of the golden gate building. That's when I knew I wanted this life and love forever. Without a doubt. So thank you to that beautiful soul for giving me this wonderful experience at mcdonalds. Dont you ever change or try to better your work ethic. You do more then you should. Hope they give you that raise. Maybe smile more though. Your never fully...
