The Maverick burger was pretty tasty, Tempeh bacon wasn’t fakin’, onion rings added a lot, and as a vegetarian with occasional meat-lust it scratched an itch for me with its juicy “Beyond Burger” patties. I had requested pepper jack, but that is definitely not the cheese I received on my burger. The sweet potato fries were great and I speculate that the wavy cut helps with the frying process and keeps them from becoming soggy in the frier like the sweet potato fries i’ve ordered from other establishments. The Chick’N nuggets were initially tasty, but had an off-putting aftertaste… It might have been from the ghost pepper ranch dipping sauce, but it wasn’t spicy it was the kind of aftertaste I’ve gotten from eating other processed vegetarian meat substitutes in the past. My first time eating vegan “Chick’N” so I don’t know if that’s just par for the course.
I think that chain restaurants like Little Big Burger, SuperDeluxe, Veggie Grill, and now Next Level Burger are part of a nascent nu-burger wave that is attempting to drag the bloated and deleterious fast food industry into the 21st century. Next Level Burger in particular REALLY wants you to know what a good ethical consumer you are by ordering their food. If I am being honest I felt a bit uncomfortable ordering. It was like I had stepped into someone’s clinically precise consumer science experiment and I just wanted some dang vegetarian food. Definitely a commendable alternative fast food concept though, and I’ll probably hit them up again when they have established themselves a bit more. Maybe order pickup with an...
Read moreI love this location. A few weeks ago, I stopped by & had a Beyond Burger & small fries. The service was excellent! The guy who took my order was really helpful & friendly. Tonight, I had my order delivered. Had the same, except added red onion & avocado to my burger & got a side of special sauce. My order today was as good as my first one! The food is fresh, even the avo slices! Everywhere is pricey these days, but I will say they are in line with what you pay at any other restaurant. I’d also like to add that I noticed my food wasn’t just tossed into the bag. Really, it’s been some time since I’ve consistently gotten good food & service from a restaurant, especially having it delivered. Over the past year, the service I’ve gotten from restaurants & food quality has been awful, especially with deliveries. Thank you for your hard work, great service, and delicious food!
Edit to add: I have a different career now, I spent some time in customer service/retail/food service jobs & I want to say that on my in-person visit, even though I didn’t eat inside, I noticed how clean this restaurant is. It had an overall comfortable vibe. If I were still in retail/CS, I’d be trying to poach the employees here. So it may not feel like it, but their hard work is* noticeable & I am just one person, but I do...
Read moreBoy oh boy, this was a tasty burger! My first visit to Next Level and really happy I stopped by! The people behind the counter were super helpful and one of the guys told me about their specials when I walked in the door. Totally a welcoming vibe! I appreciated that. There are SO MANY burgers to choose from and they’ve got the vegan chicken, vegan fish and vegan meat choices. It’s a very creative menu. You’ve also got salad options. I grabbed a pub burger for my relative and I grabbed a cheeseburger with Vegan bacon and Gouda for myself. The bacon was a little blackened but still tasty. I had to remind my relative that they were eating vegan bc they were convinced it was the real thing! I also bought some onion rings and a spicy buffalo salad. I didn’t care for the salad much but it was decent. I wouldn’t get it again. The onion rings had a nice crunch and really yummy flavor. And, I really enjoyed the American cheeseburger. I opted for their special sauce which I didn’t much care for (it’s got a kick to it) so the next time I’ll go with catsup, mustard and mayo. I’d also like to try one of their shakes. I recommend this place - bring your meat eating friends here you’ll probably make them a fan of vegan cuisine once...
