General Sherman, it is not Give it time, it will grow a lot I wonder who planted it there And gave such excellent care? Sequoia Gigantea is its real name The ones in California have more fame But I am glad this one is here Easy to visit as itā€™s so near. So, thanks, Google maps for marking the tree Seeing it today made me happy!

Really there isn't anything there but the tree but maybe that's why I liked it so much is a nice time capsule and if you speak treelish/treeanish you could hear all of Portlands history for the last 350+ years but I'm still learning the language mediation might work as well to feel the history but the vibe is pessimistic and dreary---ENJOY

This is an awesome huge tree. Came across this almost by accident on my way to Washington Park and saw this on my Google maps. Glad I stopped by. It's kind of random but also very nice to see this historic piece of nature survive amidst all the development around it.
