Trinity Episcopal Cathedral has been my spiritual home for almost 20 years. It is a place anyone can find a home, everyone of any age or belief, any color or custom, any position on the spectrum of any consideration.
The sermons are relevant, personal, and uplifting— no oppressive political marching orders, an individual is challenged with alternatives and choices no matter where you fall on an issue.
I always leave having become a more enlightened and centered individual, at peace and ready to face the world and my life with renewed strength and perspective.
Abundant opportunities for service work are available, which is key for me. Trinity actually feeds the hungry and fights for the rights of the impoverished, as Christ instructed us to do. Can you believe it?

Read moreEvery Wednesday, this church serves an inside lunch, and I picked a good time to check it out. You walk to the door where there is an initial staff member, then just inside the door, you're helped get seated. A sort time later, a nice volunteer brings you salad, the main dish, a cup of soup, and I even got some good vanilla ice cream. As you sit there, you hear live music... someone at the piano. The atmosphere was relaxing. The salad even had feta cheese in it. The main dish I think was vegan, rice with foturky, macarony salad, and broccoli. The staff was nice and informative. Quality of anything this church offers is exemplary - service, music, adult education, children education (especially Godly Play classes), lay ministry, I can go on and on. Spiritually, emotionally and intellectually, it is so fulfilling to experience this church in its magnificence! Since covid, we hardly attended this church in person, but any time we needed support, the clergy, the staff, the community, offered us prayer and support even before we asked for it.
