This bar was ok at first, but the experience went down hill from there. The atmosphere was sad and so were the people working there. I was here with my boyfriend for the first time and we ordered two burgers. Although the burgers were good, the service was not. The guy who delivered the food couldn't have cared less. And then the bartender went after me after I didn't give her a large enough tip. She served us two drinks which we picked up at the bar. I left a tip because of the server not because of her. If they served us drinks I would have understood. But honestly it was so uncomfortable when she came after us. I have never given bartenders a lot of tip. First time I went and the bartender was unbelievably rude. Barely looked at me when speaking, gave me lip about ordering food to-go. I got the chili dog and it was somehow dry??? Super bland. The "chili" was just dry shredded meat with some onion (and yes, I tried it in my car before driving home, so its not because I got it to go. It was just like that.) Understand that it was a busy evening and he seemed to be by himself, so I decided to go a second time to give the place another chance. Incredibly, the bartender was STILL rude!! The first time I came here - more than a decade ago now - I walked up to a woman bashing another dude on the head. Her friends and coworkers (I think) made excuses for her after she left with what turned out to be her partner. A few years after that I turned up to find her whacking another dude in the head. I don't know what excuses you can possibly make for someone who is apparently so inclined to violence. I'd love to hear the owner's side about why they condone such behavior but I'm not going back because I don't like the possibility of being hit by her or whomever that community includes.
