Downgrading to 4 stars as of March 2024, I can't find a favorite dish anymore, but I like the food in general. I could taste it's high quality. ---drinks --- Chai ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ not too sweet good flavor not at the expense of diabetes

Salami sandwich ⭐⭐⭐ didn't like it cold, but the sandwich taste was good. Just not for me. A bit too chewy.

Lox sandwich ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good salmon

Anchovies ⭐⭐⭐⭐ anchovies with oil wasn't expecting much but these were solid

Olives ⭐⭐⭐⭐ good but didn't blow my mind I think if I loved olives I'd be all over this

Scrambled eggs ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ loved the mixture of food here the eggs were perfectly moist definitely needed the bacon tho for the crunch

♥️Sour dough with trout ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ this is my favorite dish in the area

Mozzarella pesto sandwich ⭐⭐⭐⭐ really good but didn't blow my mind was filling but unsure if worth the price

Rigatoncini ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ really loved the flavors

Porridge ⭐⭐✨ it was ok with bacon the cauliflower was delicious but there was only one a little bland, I think if it was full of cauliflower it would be amazing didn't love the almonds with this I think this just needs more substance, like veggies or something

Breakfast plate ⭐⭐⭐ this made me really miss the sour dough pickle plate the salad was bright and delicious didn't love the cheese paired with the bread the butternut squash wasn't appealing enough and it seemed to have been poised the star potentially

❤️Nicoise ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ loved it light, delicate and not fishy at all

Toast with chili crisp, beans, ricotta, fried egg ⭐⭐⭐ I was expecting to adore this I thought it would have white beans, not red feels like it was missing some sort of vegetable on the side to cut the overly bean taste

❤️Pork Chile Verde ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ amazing flavorful even love the fresh tortillas eggs are perfectly runny

Swdd breakfast plate ⭐⭐ not a good amount for the price one soft boiled egg, maybe a couple pickles and 3 pieces of cheese. really makes me miss the pickle plate would not recommend

❤️BLT ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ juicy perfect crispy the bread is perfection

Farm salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐ [Oct 2024] the cheese is light and complements the dish didn't use too much dressing my partner loved it I wouldn't be able to have it all myself, as it had a slight fish taste

Spanish tortilla ⭐⭐⭐✨ [Oct 2024] really good! Not something i would crave though. it's really just a Spanish omelette needed more sauce for me otherwise it was a little on the bland side loved the potatoes

Incredibly rude staff/ owners. I was meeting up with a local friend as I was in town for the weekend, and really looking forward to trying this cafe. My party of 4 adults and a baby didn’t fit at any of the smaller cafe tables and there are just two somewhat larger tables. So we waited for about 20 min while a group was finishing up their meal, and when they left sat down. (Meanwhile, we had stood by the door and let others know we weren’t ordering yet so they could go first.) we get settled and then go to stand in line to order and are told we can’t “save” a table. I explained that we were in line to order and would be using the table right then, but the staff member insisted that it was unfair to others who ordered first not to be able to take whichever table they liked. They offered to put us on a waiting list once we had ordered if there were no tables available. Now, to be fair most of their patrons were in groups of two or single people having a quick coffee, so I’m sure the seating policy works for most. But it wasn’t going to be logistically sensible for my group. Would we wait around for an open table with our food and drinks in hand while a group of two took a larger table? Another staff member then came outside and was brusque and dismissive. So we chose to leave rather than stay somewhere we were clearly unwelcome. I wish we would have been able to try the food and this review would be more helpful on that front. Oh well! It costs nothing to be kind, and they could have delivered the news with a great deal more...

Super confused by this place. Everyone who worked there seemed annoyed. I worked in the food industry for several years and totally get that when you’re slammed it gets stressful but this was such bizarre customer service. When ordering our food the person waited a full 30 seconds before saying anything to us and just did not seem all that friendly. When we got our first cup of coffe my partner requested granulated sugar and the person let us know to keep it with, us which was not really an option since we were waiting for a table and has to stand, so I left it near the coffee station. When we were sat, I went to get more coffee and the simple syrup was out. The person who was the food runner got annoyed when I tried to ask for the simple syrup to be when they had a moment. They snapped at me that they don’t keep granulated sugar out and that’s why they told me to keep it with me and walked away before I could explain. my partner got up not long after and the food runner came and asked if someone was still sitting with me after he had been gone for 45 seconds tops, which was bizarre. When we were leaving my partner went to request a box and when he turned around his plate had been cleared. He could not have stepped away from it for more than a minute. The food was good but I won’t be coming back because of how weird of an...
