My local friends were very supportive of this restaurant because the owner is native north portlander who continues to support her community. It’s not my first time eating Sassy’s the first time I got Pho and it was great, I also had boba for the first time in a Thai tea and enjoyed it! This time my lunch carry out order was pork vermicelli bowl. I almost got a Thai tea again but the total came to $21. I felt I could not spend that on lunch just for myself so I opted out of the drink for vermicelli pork bowl at $15- did not match googles menu price(see their website for updated prices) I felt this was expensive for me but got it anyway. The customer service was very friendly. When I opened my to go order at home I was kind of shocked and displeased… the pork was dyed red. I felt like I should have just called and complained but I was very hungry and I ate it, every bite. The meal was really good. I always love vermicelli a perfect mix of comfort but not too filling. The dressing is the perfect light flavor to go on the noodles and the salad. There weren’t many spring rolls, maybe two? The photo does not include a nice side of broth that I didn’t expect but I thought that was a very nice touch. My only drop in stars was the food dye… it feels low quality to me a lot of kids are allergic to red dye 40 and I wanted to share this with my toddler but I didn’t. I don’t think it’s necessary and doesn’t really make it look good when they noodles are dyed from your meat… however it did taste good. I just worry if they dye their food what else are they willing to compromise quality wise on?

Our first time here, and the food did not disappoint! There are lots of menu options. Bobba tea drinks were half off today. Very friendly staff. We started off with crab ragoons. They were delicious and hot. My friend ordered the orange chicken plate, which came with a yummy broth. I went with the Kham Poon soup that has red coconut curry with chicken and baby quail eggs. It was so good!! There are lots of Pho options, too. I am looking forward to future visits. Of course, we had to do a bobba tea! The only opportunities that got my attention were to keep the tables stocked with utensils if that is where the customer is to retrieve them. Watch for cleanliness of the floor under booth tables and in the booth cushions. Also, handprint smudges on the insides of windows. It makes it feel a little unkempt. 1/24/25 second visit as we wanted some hot soup on this chilly day. We were pleased to find out that they now have a $10 menu where the portions are just a bit smaller. This includes Pho, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and chow mein. It was a great deal. The service was friendly and the food was great once again. Oh, and their meatballs for the Pho are so tender! I've had others in the past, and they were rubbery. Not these..so good!

Easily the best pho in Portland. Met the owners Sean and Souk and, damn, they have something special here. Alongside their amazing customer service (seriously I felt like I was talking to friends I've had for a while) comes a pho experience unlike any other I have had in Portland. The meat, specifically the steak, in the speciality pho was soooo perfect. It was NOT dried out or super chewy like others do it. I cannot put enough emphasis on the tiny details that they do well. This was an amazing lunch experience. PLUS, at lunch, they have $2 off pho happy hour. The proportions are huge and do not differ for specials compared to normal price = same quantity. I tapped out about halfway through my pho; my leftovers are enough for another meal. These are owners that eat (literally), sleep, and breathe their business. Sean had leg surgery and was back at work immediately. Souk is a personality worthy of her restaurant's name, sassy, and full of life. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. They will be seeing more of me. I didn't get to try the boba tea but it looked so damn good that I will be back for some. Souk and Sean, keep up the amazing work. You have something truly special here in North Portland.

First of all I would like to say THANK YOU SASSY SOUKS for opening up your beautiful and amazing restaurant here in the St John's area! The food and the service here is amazing and on point!! Everything is so tasty and flavorful and very delicious! I can never get enough of it! The boba tea OMG it is just as good/delish as the food!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the boba tea flavors here and you guys always make it fresh just like everything else you create in your lovely restaurant. This is one of the best Pho & Boba Tea restaurant I've ever been to and my co-workers absolutely love this place as well. I probably ate just about everything on your menu and just recently I noticed you added a new dish to your menu which is the Seaweed Rolls and I just had to try it. Let me tell you, this place is now my favorite spot to get seaweed wraps. I don't know what you use in your special sauces that comes with it but OMG it goes so well with those wraps and it's good without the sauce too but WOW that is so DELISH! Your deserts are so dang DELICIOUS too! My #1 favorite desert is the guava cake!!! I have waited so long to eat some guava cake and now I found the place for it! Whatever you guys are doing back there in that kitchen and at your boba station, please don't stop because it is working magic in my mouth and down to my belly! lol :-) Oh and let me not forget about that Papaya salad you make! WHAT!!! I am in love with that papaya salad! oohwee! M M M!! so dang delish! Thank you for always feeding me so well! :-)

But on the real, for those of you who want some real authentic Lao and Thai food and some fresh Boba Tea and island flavor deserts and more, you need to try this hot spot. Myself and a ton of my friends/coworkers/family members probably eat here about 3 times a week lol! It's that good!! Thanks...

This place is AMAZING! The service and food is the best! OMG it's so good that I could eat their food everyday. I happened to be driving in the North Portland area for work and I came across this Lao & Thai restaurant, so you know I had to stop in and check it out. Let me tell you, it is one of the best AUTHENTIC Lao & Thai restaurant I've ever had and I have eaten at a lot of Thai/Lao restaurants and this one for me has hit the very top on my restaurant lists! It has been so long since I've actually ate some real authentic Lao & Thai dishes and I love your food! I wanted to try everything while I was there but I couldn't do it while I was working lol! Anyway I ordered the tofu seaweed wrap, the meatball pho and my co-workers ordered the drunken noodle and the sassy wings and fried rice. WOW THAT WAS SO GOOD! We each tried each others food and we absolutely loved every single bite of it! For our drinks I ordered the taro boba tea and my co-workers ordered the Mango and Honeydew boba tea and oh my they were so delicious! We could tell the boba tea is freshly made too. Not a lot of boba tea places do that but your boba tea was freshly on point!!! Thank you so much for the delicious meal and the freshly made boba teas! This is now our #1 favorite restaurant and boba tea place to got to! Oh no I almost forgot we also bought your guava cake and omg that was the bomb! We loved the GUAVA CAKE! yum! We are definitely coming back here!!

Do you have another location in the Troutdale or Lake...
