Been coming to this restaurant since I was a teen in high school (2010-2014). It's been our family's go-to spot for pizza for a LONG time. We would always order a Large Fit for a King with extra thick crust, and an Antipasto salad. They have never disappointed and we come here for graduations, extended family get togethers and just when we craved their pizza. The slices are huge and two slices and some salad are way more than enough to make me full! The last time I ate here back around news year 2017, before leaving home, an older couple overheard us praying for our food and overheard that I was leaving to join the military. They ended up paying for our food and we told the waitress and cashier if you ever see them again, to thank them! We never saw them again to this day! Fast forward almost 8 years later, and came back here this past weekend with my parents and wife, after being gone overseas for a couple years, ordered a Large half and half vegetarian and fit for a king pizza with an antipasto salad. The food was exactly how i remembered from being a kid. Will continue to come to this spot in Poway, and always tell friends and family about this place if they ask for recommendations. My parents frequent this place every other month too. Funny story, but my aunt lives in another state, used to live in Pensasquitos, and everytime she comes to visit san diego, she buys a pizza from here, freezes it and puts it in her checked baggage, so when she lands, a piece of home is there ready to warm...
Read moreThey charge for everything.
I pickup 2 medium pizza and a super torpedo I asked for to pepper Cheaneys they did not give it to me. They wanted to charge for 4.99 for like three pieces. And they charge like five dollars for their soda a 20 ounce sodas five dollars. I believe their prices are extremely expensive. The quality is OK. They put too much cheese on the pizza it’s heavy but it’s not the best I’d rather get a thin pizza. This is the last time I come here. They couldn’t give me two free pepper, Cheaneys on the side for my sandwich and I would still come here. just because of that I’m not coming anymore.
They didn’t cut my sandwich in half. 2 piece any tomatoes. 14 dollars sandwich No dressing
They cook doesn’t even wash his hand and he kept rubbing his nose. I came back and they will still not helping and they told me they put dressing and tomatoes . I brought the sandwich inside the lady was trying to help but it was too late.
You can’t even compare it to Jersey mike. I would give jersey mike at 9.5 for the sandwich and I will give 1.2 for this torpedo.
I’m sorry I don’t like to leave bad rating but this time I had to because I came back a few times and then did not help me.
I had torpedos from different location and it was amazing. This guy was just horrible.
If you want someone touching their face and making your food good luck.
They have no customer service. The lady was ok but the Hispanic guy was extremely rud...
Read moreWe have been going to Filippi’s for years whether it is to dine in or take out the food is always consistently amazing. The “Fit for a King” pizza is delicious and I think one of the best pizza’s around. The meatball is good too but the FFK has everything you could want and it is a fixed price (instead of adding everything and running up the bill). Poway Filippi’s is closest to home for us and we love ordering on-line and bringing food home. Everything is really good but last visit my daughter and I got sandwiches. My meatball sandwich was huge and packed with meatballs, onions, peppers, and cheese (those were extra’s and cost a little more but was well worth it). Meatballs were juicy and yummy and the onions and peppers just gave it a little extra something. My daughter got (what she thought would be) the ham and cheese sandwich and she said it was one of the best she has had. The ham was sliced thinly and the sandwich was stuffed. For around $10/ea these sandwiches were way tastier than most deli sandwiches (not naming quick service places). My son went with his usual, his favorite there the chicken parm dinner. He got a workout just carrying the bag. Dinner includes garlic bread and a nice side salad for about $16 and there was plenty for him for two nights (and he is a growing 16 year old) Worth the drive to pick up food! Employees are great, and even when busy food is always hot and ready within a good...
